A sticky disappointing visit

Breakfast visit today with a friend. Hostess was very busy, cleaning tables and seemed to be short staffed again. After sitting for approximately 10 mins we returned to the hostess to order drinks. The menu has changed and the choice is no longer the same for the Cooked and continental breakfast, a... read more

There is a good salad bar. They have just changed their menu to be slightly more expensive - but it is still good value overall.

Having read previous reviews I am wondering if we have all been to the same Harvester! We had a lovely meal on Sunday 3rd January, the service was quick, the salad bar full with plenty of fresh produce, friendly but busy waiting staff, and the place was clean and airy, even the toilets were clean and you can tell a... Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Stopped off on a long journey, trying to avoid McDonald's or similar but also be quick with 3 hungry children. Service was achingly slow, food downright terrible. Really nothing going for it at all.

My family and I decided to visit this Harvester for breakfast this weekend. We have previously visited other Harvesters in the UK and have always been impressed with their breakfasts. Firstly we were surprised at the change in menu & therefore the cost of the breakfast, but due to previous good experiences of the quality of food we didn't mind... More

To be honest I thought the previous reviewers must have been in there at the same time as us but then noticed the date, we went yesterday, 12th December, for breakfast and what a disappointment it was. As said previously the menu and prices have changed and not for the better. My fellow diners ordered the set breakfast and when... More

Cold, overcooked breakfast. Porridge so watery could have used a straw. Everything sticky and covered in jam. Everyone seated as close together as possible. Only decent thing was the juice and filter coffee. Won't be back again.

Visited in a group of four to celebrate three birthdays. Food was good as always, service was brilliant. Salad bar well stocked and fresh. Menu items all available. Restaurant and bar area were clean although the place was busy. Waitress attentive all evening and nothing was too much trouble. I don't understand the bad comments. I've been here often and... We visited the Harvester Ancient Briton on Friday13/11/2015. Very slow service no cutlery on tables and waited for food for over 40 minutes. Walked out in the end with no meal. Not even an apology or how can I make it better from the Manager.

We have just left this harvester and felt we needed to write a review immediately. We used to go all the time and stopped going and jumped on a health kick. We decided to treat ourselves today and have a breakfast. The menu has changed, you pay more for less then what you used to get. Food was served warm/... More
