Popped into St Albans for a girlie lunch with my friend. We were undecided as to wahat we wanted, but we were unable to resist the charms of this little restaurant. We both opted for a pasta special luch dish at £5.95. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I will definately dine here again.

Lovely little Italian restaurant in the centre of St Albans. Excellent range/choice of food and they were happy to tweak / change ingredients. Food very good. Lunchtime special made the meal a very reasonable cost too. The only slight criticism was that none of the food came out together. Restaurant very busy and booking essential.

My husband ordered the bruschetta, the amount of tomatoes was the most generous we have ever seen, actually a little too generous, maybe a bit more bread, but less tomatoes would have been better, but nonetheless a nice balance of flavours. I ordered the mozzarella fritta (deep fried mozzarella served with napoli sauce). This was delicious. For mains we had... More

My wife and I spent our 3rd anniversary here. Meal was delicious and service first class. We recently moved to St Albans and shall definitely make this splendid restaurant a regular haunt when we come into the city centre

Whenever I visit St Albans for work I book a table for 1 here. The food is very good and consistent. They are cool when single business women sit alone. The atmosphere is friendly. Go, eat food, drink wine and order the creme brulee for desert.

Good portions is what I remember--couldn't finish half of my main. Rustic Italian cooking, flavourful, pretty solid but old fashioned. Wine list is pretty good. Service was just ok, server looked new and a bit overwhelmed.

Visited for the first time for a family meal. I chose the deep fried mozarella and the nettuno pizza. Both were delicious and piping hot. We had a few bottles of wine which were very nice and the irish coffee went down well. We were all too full to have a dessert. There was a good atmosphere and it made... More

Food in St. Albans doesn't come much better than this. Had the seafood risotto which was out of this world, would thoroughly recommend. Very well priced for the quality of food and service you receive. Make sure you book well in advance as this is one of the most popular restaurants around.

I would strongly recommend this cosy place to eat at anytime of the day. It does offer a wide range of food and cater for cealiacs - gluten free options are available. Staff and chef are very friendly with very good knowledge and recommendations enjoy your visit there :)

Yes you read it correctly, this little gem is the reason I never eat out at Italian restaurants. They are all the same with so little filling, topping, seafood etc and lack of depth of flavour that I had given up! We popped in here on Saturday and had the most delightful lunch with a fantastic bottle of Montepulciano. The... More
