Late Xmas party

Was made to feel most welcome, no request was an issue although we were about 23 people including children. (Very child friendly) Food was good and well presented. Would I go again ? Most certainly

The Cock inn is a good pub that serves great food. However, the bar service is absolutely awful. I was standing there for over 10 minutes. There were only 3 people before me. Person 1 had 2 GnT's the second ordered a bottle of prosecco and the third just wanted to change his beer. I walked out to a bar... More

We visited on a busy Thursday night and found the food well cooked and presented with friendly and efficient service. The prices were very reasonable and overall it was excellent value and a nice atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal here with family in Febuary. The pub try to use local produce and food that is in season. It was a bit worrying when we arrived as all the tables were full and we had booked an 8.15 slot, however, they cleared a bar area table for us to wait on while they cleared the restaurant... More

Our B&B host at Fleuchary House in St. Albans recommended this nearby pub, and we are so grateful we took her recommendation! For lunch I ordered the soup of the day--a delicious, highly fresh Spring Vegetable soup served with an equally fresh baguette. My chicken sandwich and husband's meal were both *perfect* and the service was flawless. Dinner was just... More

We went for a quick lunch, the place was quiet as it was during the week I assume. I ordered the duck with sweet potatoes and greens. My friend ordered a steak.....I have to say the duck was to die for and it was so unexpected! Seriously delicious and so glad I chose the duck, of course I expect it... More
