Went the the Elvis night on Sauturday. Two course set menu of hamburger with pulled pork, BBQ chicken, coleslaw mac and cheese went down very well, although perhaps a veggie option would have been good. Portion size was huge. Second course cheesecake. The Elvis impersonator kept everyone singing and dancing, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, the restaurant was heaving!... More

We ate here again at the weekend and enjoyed another great dining experience. The food was of the same high quality it has been on our previous visits and the staff are always very welcoming and attentive. The riverside setting is a delight and the ambiance very relaxed and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit.

They sound more interesting on the menu than they actually are. The main courses are again nice looking but average taste. Service was excellent but so it should be as we were the only... More

This was booked after a recommendation from some friends who had the previous week eaten in The Ivy and they said the whistling Duck was very good. High praise indeed. So, having arrived a little early we sat in the lounge area with a drink, (our own choice as we could have been shown to our table) . Having been... More

I had high expectations about this restaurant, but was let down big time. Firstly don't mention that your menu may vary due to seasonality then use asparagus in October. Then being told that there is no asparagus yet the soup of the day is asparagus! The soup was bland and was under seasoned. I had duck for main, which was... More

I was invited there for a friends special birthday one Saturday lunch time. On arriving as it was attached to the garden centre I thought I'd gone to the wrong place.! However, on arriving at the resteraunt, the staff were so very welcoming and friendly, even when we got a little noisy singing happy birthday! . The food and ambiance... More
