A pretty decent pub

Small, old but serves a good pint and ideal for lunch, Church up the road, Market Place just down the road. Friendly staff and good service.

We popped in because it was the most gorgeous ancient looking building around and we were not disappointed. The owner was so friendly and helpful and the food was great, in a totally traditional unspoilt atmosphere . we would go back every time.

We had been on a gentle pootle around three counties when we felt parched and peckish. I declined my husbands first suggestion for respite hand found this little beauty hiding down an idilyc cobbled street. The Hobsons Choice was the best example we had tasted in a long while; kept just at the right temperature to bring all the flavour... More

called in out of curiosity and what a great little find, live music which created a great atmosphere with locals and visitors chatting away over a pint (or a 1/2 in my case 😊) Will be visiting again next time we're in town..

Nice welcome, great beers, with no tv and no piped music. Apparently live music at certain times. Covered smoking area at the rear.

The doorway is small & quaint inside is bigger but still retains it's character. The food is very good. Plenty of choice of local beer, stout & cider and very helpful barman. You can even have a taster. We will certainly be back.

This pub looks very basic from the outside and the inside. Pleaswe don't let appearances put you off. It does offer very friendly service to passing tourists and a great range of first class beers that are beautifully kept. Smashing place, not to be missed if you like good ale! If you are an American tourist (or a visitor from... More

A small pub, but the welcome was warm. Hubby tells me the beer was very good. The food is average pub food (steak pie, chilli etc). We had to wait a while, but it quickly arrived after we'd 'chased it up'. Good if you want decent, no nonsense food.

Situated on a great street in Ledbury full of character the pub does not let you down. Entering through a small door you have a small bar area to the left as you enter which initially makes the pub feel quite small. But going further back there is a good amount of space all of which looks very well kept... More

After reading the various reports I decided to visit and have a beer and try the recommended faggots to eat. The beer was excellent and makes you realise just how poor most of the beer we drink elsewhere is. As for the faggots – they were huge – so much so that I couldnt quite finish them, but none the...
