Lovely old place

It's my second time here, and I just had to return. Real ales, and quality lagers, this is a real gem of a pub.

Quaint pub, with good food. My husband had faggots there and reckoned they were the best he had ever had. The pie was fabulous too. Very reasonable prices, which was a bonus! Nice friendly staff. They have some great beers there too, so well worth a visit.

been to this little quaint pub once before.. And could not pass it by again.. Heard the food was good and could see on other peoples plates , it looked good.. Our two well behaved terriers were as welcome as us and no one noticed them anyway sat under the table.. Pies to die for and I had the local... More

Visited this pub with my wife, son, daughter in law and 12 week old granddaughter who live nearby on Saturday 31st January 2015. Even though we had a pram which took up a bit of room we received a warm welcome from the staff. The local beer was top quality as was the home made food, all of which was... More

Very old building and quirky. lovely ales and basic snack food to match as you wouldn't want to overload with all the ale. Lovely experience if for drinking in the building alone!

Up the cobbled street leading to the church is this lovely, friendly old traditional pub which prides itself on a fantastic and eclectic selection of real and local ales that would be hard to match anywhere. The food is hearty, home-cooked pub grub and, on the day we went, the 'one-pot stew' dish of the day gave just the right... More

The atmosphere in this old beamed pub, with a multitude of beermats of different beers and ciders festooning the walls, is truly a British experience. The home made food is exceptionally tasty - special mention must be made of their pies, sausages, thick gravy served in jugs, and the pottage peas. Yummy! 😊
