Good cheap pub lunch!

A few months back my fiancé and I went for lunch at the stagecoach with our good friend Diane. We all ordered the chicken burger, which we were amazed at when it was bought out. Two big southern fried chicken burgers in a bun with chips! For less than £4! The whole meal was lovely. So lovely that... read more

We went as I had seen the signs outside stating best roast in town. Firstly I ordered my son a starter of loaded potatoe skins- we got seasoned wedges, bacon and cheese. ( I could deal with this as my son is only young). The carvery itself was satisfactory - could choose 2 of the 3 meats if you wanted,... More

A roast dinner you'd cook at home as much as you like and to perfection. Section for really well cooked meats too really do recommend it

Enjoyed an excellent roast meal here recently at a private function. There was an impressive selection of both meat & vegetables plus all the usual trimmings. All the staff were very professional & friendly. Definitely recommend & revisit

Okay, so they had beer: it's just my meal reminded me of the infamous song alluded to in my review title. My work colleagues and I went for our Christmas meal here. Whilst good value, I had some issues which rather than spoil the staff party atmosphere; I've kept until now. I asked for a slice each beef and turkey... More

I was doing some xmas shopping in Hereford with a friend when we came across a placard stating this way for the best Sunday carvery in Hereford, pointing towards the Stagecoach. We entered what is a beautiful obviously very old building went upstairs for the restaurant area, I was asked if we had booked which we hadn't and was found... More

Had heard they did good food however is now only sunday lunch. Its a bit tatty, needs an overhall, obviously a 'locals' pub, some had been there a long time that day(!), ok for a drink, but a real shame not more is made of it, it is a lovely building, which in the right hands could do very well

We were looking for somewhere to go for a family Sunday carvery that wasn't going to cost the earth. After a lot of trip-advisor research, and a bit of a facebook survey, we decided to try the Stagecoach. I rang to book a table for 12 noon (we've got small children who will not wait very long for food). Upon... More

We tried the place for a pint, mid-week. The guy serving couldn't raise a smile and the decor has seen better days. It wasn't the worst pub we'd ever been in and it was ok for the one pint. There are superior boozers around but this place was a bit cheaper at least.
