The greeting when we arrived was non-existent. When we went to the counter to place our order, having waited for someone to ask us, we were told to sit back at our table as someone would come. We sat and waited and were completely ignored - so we left!

Breakfast is served on Saturdays until 11am. Despite us turning up with only a few minutes to spare the staff were more than willing to accommodate us. I asked for a full English Breakfast and if it was at all possible to substitute the black pudding for an additional sausage and requested additional hot water for the teapot, again service... More

We arrived at 5.30 on Friday afternoon looking for some good food without too much delay. Perhaps we should have been worried by the total lack of interest in our arrival by all 3 members of staff. However, having chosen our own table and selected our food from the menu I approached the bar to order and was advised to... More

We had a beautifully presented cream tea here in April this year. It was delicious and the ambience was great.

Really excellent evening at this well designed and appointed bar/restaurant/hotel. They've gone to a lot of effort and the people of Winchester seem to be responding as the place was packed. The steaks are brilliant and there were some interesting starters/small plates on the menu. Service needs to be a little more attentive, at one point all four waitresses were... More

Had lunch here with a couple of friends on a Saturday. Food was good but the service wasn't very welcoming, bar tender seemed like he didn't want to be there.

A very warm welcome and thoughtful service even though we arrived late on a Sunday. Delicious food with an interesting, modern twist.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal with drinks for £75 choosing the more expensive mains. Food was nicely served and well cooked. Both Lamb rump and Staeak were soft and easy on the palete. Reasonable service. Nice evening.

Located at the foot of Winchester, alongside a number of key restaurants, we arrived about 8pm on a friday night. Perhaps we should have done more research because as we arrived there was a small music group setting up and there was a full on bar/pub experience, to the extent you had to flag down the barman to get to...
