Me and the wife popped in for a couple of cheeky cocktails on a Friday afternoon, the barman could not of been more welcoming. I wanted something fruity with vodka and the wife wanted a mojito. Both turned up freshly made and delicious and I'd definitely come back again.

We had reserved a table, which I recommend doing early as the restaurant is fairly small. We arrived a little early and were happy to sit at the bar where we looked after by Malik and the other friendly bar staff, all the staff behind the bar were great fun they made us laugh a lot and recommended a fantastic... Simply popped into this place for a quick drink before going on to our booking in another restaurant. The barman asked us if we were eating as the place was fully booked for later and for the time being they had stopped serving food in order to be prepared for the evening. Is this normal for a restaurant / bar... More

Popped into what looked like a lovely bar/restaurant for pre dinner drinks at 5.20pm. Was asked immediately if dining as they'd shut kitchen down in prep for busy valentines evening. Said we just wanted a drink. Told to sit on table without cutlery laid for evening. No problem. By the way you don't drown a fine Irish whiskey with coke... More

We chose to eat here with friends on a Friday evening. The pub is great, as is the atmosphere in both the pub and the restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient, but I felt it was let down by the price of the food. I know this is Winchester etc etc, but I felt the food was pricey for... More

Visited for an evening meal and a beer with a male chum. Overal Ones self was impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the establishment and all staff who dealt with us were polite and courteous. Out of our three courses mine were reasonably good. My croquettes for starters were nice however my personal feeling is that they are expensive... More

Having eaten here before and enjoying our evening decided to visit again. Although we booked through the site for a table there wasn't a record of our booking, however this was a non issue and the very polite and friendly staff found us a table. We had an enjoyable bottle of white wine and the salt and pepper squid for... More

My teenage daughter and I decided to go here for Brunch...wow!!! It was great, I had the eggs Benedict, served with Parma ham-my favourite ...and my daughter had smoked Salmon & Scrabbled Eggs-as she said, cooked & served to perfection!! My tea was loose leaf & delicious-& I really should have had a second pot!! Faultless breakfast, so much so,... More

Have been to No 5 Bridge street a few times and can't recommend it more, food was amazing every time, atmosphere is quiet and calm, staff are friendly and helpful and the modern/classic mix in decor is very pleasant. Lovely restaurant in Winchester.
