As with many reviews of No5 the venue has a great atmosphere and a good menu. We were greeted politely and efficiency and under no rush to be seared, enabling us to have a pre dinner drink. Service was good. Menu was very good with good selection of local produce. We sat near the open kitchen and noticed just how... More

My favourite restaurant in Winchester hands down! Came here with my friend. The new menu has been released and it's the same high standard as the previous. This time, the Scallops took my fancy! Perfectly cooked (thanks chef) accompanied by brilliant service from Mary & Marta! I decided to go for the Rib eye cooked Blue.. Cooked to perfection, I... More

Good atmosphre and good food at reasonable prices. Main complaint was that at 8.00pm on a Friday they had run out of Wild Boar. This is really not acceptable and hence lower rating.

Mid week trip to explore the shops in Winchester with a girlfriend planned for mid-shop tasty lunch, this restaurant did not disappoint. It was recommended by a friend who runs a business in the city centre and she did well. Lots of tables but the layout means you don't feel its as big as it is with corners and levels.Looked... More

Very disappointing. You got 3 small rectangle sandwiches all egg. One scone each with very little cream and jam so made them very dry. Cake was carrot cake only no choice. When asked if we could change the cake was told the chief makes up the afternoon teas in advance. Waitress went to see if any other cake to be... More

My favourite restaurant in Winchester. The food is amazing and the service is always good. Great wine and cocktail list too. Friendly bar staff - especially Josh who always had time for a chat when I was staying there. Which brings me onto the rooms... WOW! A little pricey but the rooms are gorgeous. One of the best showers I've... More

Booked a table for 1730 for an early Friday dinner with our 2 year old. Arrived at 1715 to be promptly seated and offered drinks. 5 minutes later, we were told that the kitchen did not open until 1800 and presumably we had been told this when we booked. Clearly, we were not. Food, when we could finally order some,... More

Have been 3 times and each time enjoyed my meal. Excellent service and good menu. I particularly liked the mised breads wch came with a dipping spice mix, so nice i asked the chef for the menu of the ground spices. I would recommend.

Don't go. The scones were cold and dry, the sandwiches were soggy and you only get three very small pieces of cake or biscuit. The cups and plates were badly chipped. The only positive is the nice outdoors seating area. This was very disappointing and I won't be going back.
