Food seemed expensive but good quality. Service really wasn't great but nice location and atmosphere for it to not bother us. Quiet on Mondays

We popped in for a quick lunch and are very glad that we did. It was delicious, I had a toasted sandwich it was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and helpful staff.

Went in for lunch today, with a 3 month old baby in tow, no issues at all. I ordered the wild mushroom risotto and it was the best I've had in years. A lot of locally sourced ingredients as well. Slight issue on the desert and was rectified fairly easy. Would happily recommend and will return

I took a work team of approximately 20 people out for a celebratory meal. I've used 5 Bridge Street before and followed the same formula of booking the private dining area that is the barn (lovely room). On this occasion the service was poor, both in terms of speed and attentiveness. I cannot even concede this was due to it... More

A lovely pub lunch where the food exceeded our expectations. A cosy bar with friendly staff. The slow roasted tomato tart was amazing and the triple fried chips were the best ever!!

A family celebration - son's 30th - organised here. Having battled round the Christmas Fair around Winchester Cathedral we arrived in good time for our lunchtime meal @ 1-30. The restaurant was busy but the crush eased soon after we arrived - fortunately we were in no rush as despite our relative proximity to the kitchen we didn't seem to... More

Lovely bar and restaurant, our group were fitted in on a busy evening, service was good, food and wine were excellent. Will definitely go back just for the food - lovely decor and atmosphere a bonus too. Definitely recommend this place!

Booked for my anniversary and was not disappointed. When I booked I mentioned it was for our wedding anniversary, on arrival we had cocktails in the bar that were delicious. We were then showed to our table in the restaurant all with great service and felt effortless making you feel at ease. Gemma the manager came over with two glasses... More

First impressions weren't great - only expensive Bombay Sapphire and Fever Tree, no Gordons & Schweppes sold by this chain! Four of us booked for a pre-concert supper. We ordered at 6pm and received our main (only) courses at 6.30, and this was with an almost empty restaurant and a limited menu. I can see why others have complained of... More

Went in for lunch with my husband Monday lunchtime. We thought the inside was lovely. The staff were friendly, but we were not asked for our food order for ages, even though they knew we were eating and had given us menus, and the place was not busy. I made a bad choice from the menu, due to it not... More
