An amazing local with incredible Indian food. Friendly clientele and staff. The landlord is charming and generous. The food is delicious and Bobby makes great eye candy whilst you're feasting. My most favourite pub of all time and a lot of research has gone into that statement!

On the somewhat expensive side for drinks but it is a very comfortable pub with a nice atmosphere. The Indian tapas is a good snack to have with your drinks and the staff are beyond friendly.

We stopped for a drink with our little baby and we were given a warm welcome. on entering, we could see and smell some lovely aromas and ended up ordering our dinner. We really appreciated the fact that we were welcomed as a family. The butter chicken and naan were as authentic as can be and the hospitality of the... More

Finally got round to eating at The Gordon after nearly 9 months in Portswood. I've been visiting regularly, either with friends or on my own to enjoy a quiet pint (they're one of the few pubs in the area serving Thatchers Gold) and I've always found the team friendly and professional. It's essentially a traditional English pub with a nice... More

Very happy with the food we ordered. It was freshly cooked and delicious. Fish was a taste sensation! I wish we could always eat Indian food like this as it is much more enjoyable than great big dishes. Bobbys Indian Tapas come with a huge seal of approval from my family!

Taken over within the last year by Bobby (a welcoming British Indian who knows a lot about food and people) this is a wonderful local with some good Indian tapas and some good beers - from Ringwood ale to Fosters - he caters to a mixed group of regulars from old bearded Sikhs, or Spanish language students to white upperclass... Friendly pub - we only stopped by for a quick pint while waiting for a table over the road at 7 Bone. The pub had a good atmosphere and a good selection of beers so we will definitely be back next time we are out in Portswood.

He was on the toilet and did not rash his hands whilst I observed him also serving food... Also very abrupt to some customers... Would not recommend to anyone
