I have lived in Southampton for more than two years and very quickly this restaurant has become my absolute favourite place to go. The food is truly excellent, not the stereotpyical Indian food but rather a selection of many dishes that are characteristic for the Kerala region, which even Indians call the "Kingdom of Spice". My recommendation is the Kerala... More

This Indian restaurant deserves to be southampton's no. 1 Food was excellent and the menu is versatile and exciting. Staff very friendly. Kitchen impeccable. The garlic naan is to die for and so are the other dishes. Go there!

I stay over in Soton for work quite alot and always go here for supper if I can. Probably need to book on busy nights. The food is absolutely first class. One of the places where you can try new things because you know they won't be bad. Love it.

This was an excellent restaurant- I cannot understand why it was so quiet on the night we went! The food was yummy and service good.

Decided to go here as this restaurant has been ranked 1 in Southampton! How I do not know ?The meal and service was very average and to be honest nothing outstanding. We tried it but I will still continue to go to the Bitterne Balti or the Jewel as they were much better.

i dined as a table of four on Monday 25th August, the food all looked the same with us all ordering 4 different chicken curries, all the same orange colour, all similar flavour's, the sea food soup was over flavored with chilli and little flavour after that. The waiting staff although they were pleasent were slow, the beer was warm,... More

We have just discovered this restaurant and had a fantastic meal there recently with friends. Definitely one of the best Indians we have been too. We will be back very soon.

Large party of 20+ excellent food and service, far too much, but very tastey. Will definitely go back with my family as the food was so good, I loved the calamari starter

I just don't know how this unassuming little restaurant manages to priduce such high quality food at the prices that they charge. Having spent some time in Kerala I can confirm that the cuisine really is authentic. Such a caring staff too. Kohinoor is a gem in the culinary sense as well.

My sister and I finished our cruise in Southampton and had 24 hrs to kill. Literally looked up restaurants and chose the kohinoor. Pretty dissappinting to say the least, cold popadoms, tasteless chutney and lipstick on my sisters wine glass, not the best of starts. Mixed vegetable platter was barely warm and in between courses there was a large argument... More
