Lovely little restaurant with very friendly staff. Had an excellent three course meal and received a lovely happy birthday from staff along with a slice of cake! Would definitely recommend to all and hope to visit again myself very soon! Thanks for a special meal :)

Booked by E mail and gained a response within minutes. A charming response dealing specifically with my booking. The welcome was wholehearted and our arrangements (limited time) were accepted, remembered and adhered to. The food was spot on. We had fish which was cooked absolutely to perfection and the salad was varied and tasty with a light dressing. It was... More

A really lovely dining experience. We came from out of the area so had no previous knowledge of Piccolo but were not disappointed. A lovely pre theatre meal, beautiful authentic proper food, a warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and first class service. Would 100% recommend and make a return visit.

We haven't been here for about 5 years and had forgotten how good it is! The staff are welcoming and it has a lovely atmosphere. Make sure you book ahead as they were full when we went. We had pasta Alfredo, bolognese and the spaghetti gambenetti special. All dishes were freshly cooked and delicious. Desert of tiramisu was lovely. It's... More

A little diamond in the rough! Hidden away in a little back street in the centre of Southampton, the Piccolo Mondo is a little gem! The staff are friendly, the simple, traditional Italian fare is beautifully prepared and the bill was surprisingly small, especially for such generous portions! Ok, so the surroundings are basic, but once you're eating and drinking... More

we visited this restaurant last Saturday evening. It is really small and does'nt have a bar area for pre meal drinks. However, we had booked a table before our trip, and as it is a small place I am glad I did. The food was lovely, lots of specials in addition to the main menu. There were eight in our... More

This is a thriving pizza place run by lovely Italian staff. The pizzas are basic but good, and the real creativity on the menu is with the starters board. We shared a delicious grilled stuffed avocado, followed by pizza, washed down with peroni, an ideal supper after a cinema trip. At busy times you must book - it gets very... More

My wife booked us in here as a surprise for me having done a bit of research on the internet. It is tucked out of the way off the main drag but what a lovely, friendly, family run establishment. The food was to die for and quite reasonably priced. we will be back in the future
