The original Thai Tapas Bar. Opening in 2007, Mango has become renowned on the south coast for its great food and atmosphere. Set on the corner of Portswood road and the Bevois Valley student area, Mango's uniqueness appeals to all age groups. People often talk about the restaurant's ambience - there's nothing quite like the energy that spills out of Mango's front doors: Low lighting, candles, big windows, exotic murals and filigree dividers, great music and warm and friendly service all contribute to its success, but the food is ultimately its greatest pull...All food is freshly prepared to order, by expert, Thai chefs. Spices are specially imported from Thailand and only fresh ingredients and locally sourced meat is used, with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Specialities from the tapas menu include the Coconut Chicken and Na's Crispy Beef, and the Thai curries and noodle dishes from the main menu are not to be missed by any account. Mango really is a little gem in Southampton, and now there's another one in the centre of Southampton's Cultural Quarter!

Food lovely! Portion size is fair. My other half is a big eater and he didnt finish it all. Prices are... More

The restaurant is relatively small and quirky but it fills up fast and with good reason. The food is great, it has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff are all friendly and helpful. It's also worth a mention that they cater for Coeliacs, as such my sister was spoiled for choice. Would certainly go again.

We shared five Thai tapas dishes between two of us, with a portion of rice each, which we found to be a perfect amount of food - the red curry and mango corn cakes were a particular highlight. The quality of every dish was exceptional and the service brilliant, but we were sat upstairs in a room were you were... More

Have been here a few times now with friends, atmosphere is great, food is delicious and reasonably priced and staff are friendly! The tapas dishes are perfect portions for sharing amongst a group. I love the Thai green chicken curry for a main with coconut rice, the portions are huge and the food is always piping hot! Am certain I'll... More
