Great start, then downhill from there.....

It was a busy Saturday night and the place was buzzing, so we were pleased to find that they had a table free. After some confusion over our drinks order (A pint of Peroni and a bottle of Sparkling water, not that difficult surely..?) we settled down to read the extensive menu. We ordered a melon... read more

Guiseppe, the owner, loves getting up to antics with the enormous peppermill and having banter with the customers. The genuine Italian food is excellent

Visited this restaurant with friends and family for Sunday lunch which is priced at £9.00. We have been before but the portions have got smaller and the price increased. The starters were served up with the main meals and the main meals were cold. One of our party ordered a baileys coffee and what turned ,not once but twice was... More

We haven't eaten here for a while but it used to be our favourite restaurant. The food is average, I had the mozzarella and tomato starter, it came straight from the fridge so had no flavour, the tomatoes were basic supermarket ones. The kitchen staff had a blazing row while we were there and this wasn't "part of the act... More

My partner is working in Portsmouth for a few months and this restaurant was recommended to him by a colleague. He eats there at least twice a week and always has good food and a very hospitable welcome. I went down to visit last weekend and met Giuseppe the owner. I had a lovely evening. The food and service was... More

This review is from me a dog called Brian who has a Sunday dinner from this restaurant every week and also his bones. The bones are very succulent the Sunday dinner is wonderful even though making me fat ( to which my Owner is making me walk miles). I would like to thank Giuseppe for allowing me to have these... On Sunday last, I and my wife went to the restaurant for Sunday lunch as we cannot go back to Italy yet because of my wife's treatment for cancer. We were greeted very warmly by the ITALIAN waitress called Martina, and the owner, Giuseppe (who is Sardinian). Because of my wife's illness, we were shown to a table which had... More

It's easy to see why you would be attracted to come to this restaurant with all the great reviews and celebrity guests they've had come here, but in reality the food is just not very nice at all. I ordered the minestrone soup as a starter which was literally some cheap frozen vegetables boiled in some water and no seasoning.... More
