Great food but a bit too noisy

We went on a Friday specifically to hear the live jazz. Unfortunately our table was on a raised level at the back of the main bar and the jazz was pretty much inaudible. It was a busy night and we had a particularly noisy large group next to us so it might not always be that way. After we had... read more

Came upon this wonderful, unusual place by chance, and what a find. Look small from the outside but is a bit like a tardis. Food was excellent and service very good.

I've been to Rosie's lots of times but have never got passed the first room - which is rather embarrassing to admit. The restaurant area downstairs is so cute - but Imif you go further back there us a great function room (lit with candles) and a secret garden! We were there with friends sat night and had the whole... More

As a couple we have been to Rosie's lots of times over the last 2 years, we actually had our first dinner date there. We have popped in for a glass of vino and Friday night jazz, for dinners and Sunday roasts; all have been great. Last month we had our wedding reception there and it was just FABULOUS! The... More

We've been eating & drinking at Rosie's (on & off!) for the past 30 years; it has varied considerably in terms of quality of food/food/service in that time; the one constant has been the jazz - it's part of what makes Rosie's special!! Happily during our most recent visit with friends we had very good service, good wine (although limited... More

Three brothers on our annual jaunt. We all had the Duck liver pate to start and what a delightful experience that was. Probably one of the best starters I have ever eaten, and I've experienced some of the best restaurants around the world. So we were looking forward to the mains. The beef Wellington was probably one of the most... More

Definitely visit on a jazz night for great vibes and wine. Really nice atmosphere and good house wine. Food looked great but we only drop by for drinks!

Celebrating my sisters birthday, we booked a table for 5 on a Monday evening. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The decor is rustic and quirky with a French feel to it. The menu was very accommodating, with lots of delicious flavours and dishes to choose from. We all shared one of the mezza platters - enough... More

A few weeks ago I attended a "big" birthday party of a friend held in her garden. She had engaged a Jazz trio known as The Pocket Orchestra to entertain the guests and the musicians really put the icing on the cake. On examining their website we found that they performed at a number of local and not-so-local venues. One... More
