Return visit after 25 years

We celebrated my son-in-law's birthday at Rosie's - my first return visit in 25 years! I guess that is testament that the bistro has been getting things right that after all this time its still very popular - even if I'm hardly a regular! The waitress for our table was happy to answer questions... read more

This was our first visit here, and will def not be our last. The scallop starter was the tastiest scallops I have ever had. Would recommend the Beef Wellington too. Food was presented really well and reasonable prices. Was also surprised at the size of the restaurant, much bigger than it looks. Staff very friendly. My only criticism would be... More

Hadn't booked for dinner but was shown to a table quickly and efficiently. I orderd lamb and my girlfriend fish in curry sauce. Both meals were delicious and certainly well presented. I wasn't too keen on kibbled potatoes but that's just my preference. Will certainly return

Me and partner came here late one evening and decided to eat. Staff were very polite and checked if the kitchen was still serving mains, which they were. Had olives to start which were really tasty with bread and balsamic vinegar with olive oil. Mains were venison and Barbary duck. Both meats were cooked to perfection and served with dauphinois... 1st ever visit but not the last. Fantastic food, extensive wine list and friendly staff. Would advise elasticated waistband as food is served in decent sized portions.

We went there for a drink before eating elsewhere. In hindsight would probably have picked here to eat having seen the menu and now the excellent reviews. But we stayed for a drink from a really good wine list. Friendly staff, great wine at acceptable prices, excellent atmosphere - will certainly go back ands sample the food next time

Really great menu selection and specials. Excellent value for money and free live jazz. Everyone left happy and full. If you book ask for the mezzanine!

Went for Sunday lunch when they have a jazz band playing. The bar/ restaurant is on two tiers on the ground floor ( where the band is) and a largish basement. Not sure I would have appreciated a basement table but the atmosphere on the ground floor was bright and cheerfully buzzing, the only decision to make is upper tier... More
