Dreadful Guinness and no athmosphere, especially bad as it was a Friday night. The only thing Irish about here is the name. Bell for last orders went at 22:30, in this day and age??? More life in Wetherspoons around the corner.

Lovely little bar in Southsea, Staff are friendly, breakfasts are great. Also a nice place to go for drinks in the evening!

A flying visit for one of Shenanigans' delicious Fully Loaded Boxtys - a pancake filled with egg, sausage, bacon, cheese and baked beans. The breakfast of champions and true believers, accompanied by a decent cup of strong black coffee. Have also tried their Scottish breakfast which comes with Lorne sausage and haggis - amazing but huge. One of the best... More

I was treated to a Fathers Day Breakfast by my wife and two young boys today. The food was delicious. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! I'll be recommending this place to everyone and will certainly be back!

I'm sat in Shenanigans now. It's not that busy for a Friday night to be honest. I expected some Irish music playing in the background but there is just some noise which I can't work out what it is? I've been to a lot of really good Irish pubs in Ireland and for Shenanigans to even remotely compare, they should... More

My other half and I went there for breakfast enroute to Twickenham for. The rugby. He had the Irish Breakfast, I had the Scottish. Both were good quality and huge. Very good start to the day.

Visited a few times now for Sunday breakfast and agree with the comments calling this the best breakfast in Portsmouth, you’d seriously have to go a long way to beat it. A superb Irish breakfast at a great price served with excellent strong coffee, it fills you up for the entire day. Helpful, friendly staff, we love the ambience which... More

It's a small pub, granted but it does get busy! Weekends you will struggle for a table, so we had to book! Food is filling and good produce at a competitive price. The Guinness is the nicest I've had and is definitely poured with care! Very good selection of whisk(e)ys and spirits at good prices too! Staff very friendly and... More

It's simply not worth buying and preparing breakfast or even brunch for visitors when Shenanigans is now on our doorstep - breakfast with Guinness - yum! A friendly welcome and a really well-prepared enormous breakfast. This is no greasy spoon - this is quality cooking!

Fantastic find, friendly and great breakfasts, we had doorstop sandwiches which we're amazing!!! Not a big bar so hopefully it won't be full and you can enjoy the food as much as we did. It is fab!!!
