Four of us went here for a late lunch, 3 haddock & chips and 1 scampi & chips later, we left very happy. The fish was fresh and the batter crispy, everything came out steaming hot on warm plates. Portions were so good that some of us couldn't finish. The lady doing the waiting was quick, friendly and welcoming. Slight... More

Stopped for lunch recently had the most tasty and beautifully cooked Haddock in a very long time. Batter was light and all in all it was very very good. Even takeaways come with a lemon slice!! Eaten here before and it never disappoints - must be one of the best fish and chip shops on the south coast.

The haddock was delicious, the batter and the chips were cooped to perfection. Large portions at a slightly higher price. Worth it though. While the staff were very pleasant and they did a good job, there was little personality. There was a slight wait for the food but when it is so good it was worth it. I went because... More

I visited tonight after hearing they do gluten free fish and chips on the first Monday of the month, i wasn't disappointed, the cod was absolutely lovely and it was a fair size, the chips where really nice too, i certainly couldn't tell that it was gluten free batter, they also do battered sausage and chicken too all gluten free.... We have eaten here for years. The fish and chips are always lovely. You can ask for your fish to be skinned but I always think it takes away some of the taste and texture. The staff are always a delight with a smile and very efficient. It's nearly always very busy which means the turn over is high ,I've... More

Visited for sit down fish and chips. Food freshly cooked piping hot. Staff very friendly and welcoming. You could find cheaper but they would not be as good.

We were fairly regular visitors to this restaurant, however, after today's visit we won't be going again. We visited about 12 and it was fairly busy, but there were about four empty tables, each seating four people. We waited to be seated, and were shown to a table for six where a couple were already seated. When we said we... More

I took my husband to this restaurant as I'd been before with my son and a friend and I remembered it as superb. I wasn't disappointed, it was just as good as the first time I went. We were there at the weekend and bought two meals for a tenner! The fish was beautifully cooked, the batter was crisp and... More
