I hadn't been to Wesley House for quite some time so was worried that ownership may have changed as it always had such high standards. I had never had a bad thing there in the past. I was not disappointed, same owners, the place has expanded but the attention to detail - none of which were wasted on me -... More

Great service and food. Not a huge menu but plenty of choice. Excellent value for the standard of food we got. My only criticism (and it's a minute one) is that there was no music so it lacked a tiny bit in atmosphere. Well worth a visit

We were a party of 15 celebrating a 60th Birthday. Everything was just right- food, service and atmosphere so that we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We chose from the a la carte menu, and the cooking was brilliant. Everything got high marks, but the beef fillet and guinea fowl were superb Wesley House and its staff are outstanding, and... More

Went for Lunch last Sunday with my wife and my daughter, in the main Restaurant. We had an excellent meal with all the food being well coked, (where each dish chosen had clear and defined flavors), and everything was beautifully presented. As usual the service was relaxed, confident and friendly and I would recommend the Restaurant with confidence.

We had a really lovely lunch at the Wesley House today, where they had an excellent jazz band playing to celebrate the new year. The restaurant was full, but the service was still exemplary with all the staff being friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food was gorgeous and both myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We have... More

We went on a Saturday night with friends. On ordering we found out that they had run out of two types of steak which two of the diners had wanted. We asked if a deal could be offered on the more expensive steak that they had left and the answer was most definitely no! I ordered Tempura fish and chips.... More

We attended a wedding here just before Christmas - the food was amazing! I am usually a picky eater - and I cleared my plate on all three courses. Starter was a mix of cold meats and fish - exquisitely presented. Main was fillet steak and braised blade of beef with vegetables. Absolutely divine and cooked to perfection. Dessert was... More

We have been visiting The Wesley House over many years and we've never been disappointed. The food and service is first class and there is always a warm welcome. Matthew, who runs it makes a point of getting to know his customers, remembering them and what they like. We go there for special occasions, family events and when we want... More

On a Tuesday night the offer is two rump steaks and a bottle of wine for two people for £30. The steaks, chips and garnish were all excellent, and the red wine very decent. There is a reasonable pudding menu, which we also tried. This offer is clearly a great success with locals, as the place was buzzing.
