Lunchtime visit

Called in here with my partner and mum for lunch. As mum has mobility problems we chose this pub as I knew there were minimum steps for her to climb or descend, as I had previously brought a small party of people (community minibus) here before. We were given immediate service and offered a table... read more

A strange name for a pub, but don't be fooled this has ambience plus, and another plus good food. Idisagree with reviewer who says this place ids unfriendly. We stayed at a cottage a few minutes walk away. We had a drink one night whilst walking home, very friendly. We returned on a Friday night and booked table for dinner.... More

Called in for a couple of drinks early evening after passing Pub on walk to other end of Winchcombe. Pleasant Barman called Tom I believe. Comfortable surroundings. Would have liked to have sat in garden provided but our hay fever prevented this!! Enjoyable.

It was a Friday early evening - just after 7 - and we had experienced the M5 and M6 at their worst on a long journey southwards. We found this gastropub after a recommendation to find it full of braying yuppies newly down from "The City" with their BMW tractors parked with no consideration for others. We asked for a... More

I arrived just as lunch orders closed, but staff checked with the kitchen and I was immediately shown to a table.

My partner and I went here on Saturday night and can honestly say that it is THE best experience we've ever had in a restaurant. From the absolutely mouth watering food to the service we could not find one single fault! The Corner Cupboard is a beautiful little place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we went as a couple... We stay in Winchcombe every year when I compete at Prescott Hillclimb. We've had some very variable meals there, from very poor at the Plaisterers Arms to bloody excellent at the Corner Cupboard, which we "discovered" by accident last year (2014) and returned to this year. This is pub food as it should be done. The best prawn cocktails in... More

We had a lovely meal on Sunday and the service we received was fantastic considering it was bank holiday weekend and the only had one waitress working. She did a fantstic job ensuring she spoke to everyone and apologised for the wait we had. The food was all delicious and plenty to choose from. Will definately be back when visiting... More

Although just a little walk from the centre this place is worth visiting. We had only arrived in Winchcombe late on Friday afternoon and needed somewhere to eat. After looking at what was on offer in the town itself and deciding that we did not fancy dining in a hotel, or, worse still, some greatly overpriced establishment, a local advised us to... After having spent a relaxing day touring Sudeley Castle and it's gardens we were famished. This beautiful pub caught our eye and we were greeted by friendly staff and patrons upon our arrival. Wonderful selection of beer, cider and ales. The food was phenomenal and dessert is not to be missed. We look forward to returning some day.
