Well worth a visit

Booked a table here just in case fully booked. Was not disappointed, when made booking asked if they need the beer battered cod on a Sunday it is not on the menu for Sunday. But they said that they would do it, which was very good of them. The food is very well prepared and hot with reasonable... read more

Popped in for couple of drinks and a sandwich on Saturday whilst away for the weekend early January. Landlord very accomodating. Very cosy olde world charm!! Decided to book for Sunday lunch there the next day. Superb decision as it was fabulous. There ws good choice of meats, vegetable were cooked to perfection and was served piping hot. Although the... We spent the wettest day in Feb walking part of the Winchcombe Way & were recommended this pub by Winchcombe Tourist Information. It was better than perfect. Nobody minded that we were muddy & literally dripping wet. We were welcomed & as the Rugby was on we were told that it was happy hour until the final whistle. Brilliant. The... More

This is a lovely traditional pub with a good size restaurant room at the back, the menu & service were absolutely excellent. A group of us ate here and we tried a big variety of the meals between us all, and everyone said how superb the food was. Of course all the good ales & beers but also a reasonable... More

We started off in the pub for a pre-dinner drink. The lady was very unfriendly. Not much more to say on that. It took almost 45 minutes from order to receiving our food. We weren't in a rush, but that was bordering on incredible. I ordered the 10oz sirloin and I would say it was very average. Chips were good... More

Have visited this restaurant / pub twice now in the last few months, the last time being Sunday 13th December. We pre booked out table which was ready, and as clean and welcoming as ever. They have some wonderful beers / ales and food on offer which is actually really good value for money and well worth a visit. Only... More

Visited on recommendation and wasn't disappointed with the lovely liver & bacon lunch. Very good value but slightly disappointed with service being rather slow even though it was very quiet. However, staff were friendly and would definitely return as it's lovely and cosy and the menu wide-ranging.

We couldn't find anywhere for Sunday lunch and this was the only place that I could find that wasn't fully booked. I hadn't eaten here for a long time so I was a bit concerned. Needn't have worried. The food was tasty and lots of it. Childrens menu was good value. We really enjoyed our meal. Service was a bit... More

Having enjoyed a previous meal here, we had no hesitation in suggesting that we meet friends for another meal in The Corner Cupboard. There was a good atmosphere among the diners, and I've got to say that the food was well cooked and presented. Our waitress seemed to be quite inexperienced, had difficulties with our drinks order, and served our... More
