Enjoyed an excellent family meal at the Edgemoor last night. This was a birthday celebration for my father-in-law and we arrived to a decorated table of confetti and a helium balloon. This was all courtesy of the Edgemoor and a lovely touch. All 5 diners were very pleased with theirs meals - great quality and portions. Pudding was fantastic -... More

Yes the setting really does sell this Inn, overlooking Painswick. Beyond that the food itself is fairly ordinary pub grub, perfectly acceptable, and washed down with good local beers. Best enjoyed sitting outside on a fine summers day.

Had lunch with friends sat outside overlooking the valley. Excellent meal, well served. The puddings in particular were superb! I do not eat fish but the others did and it was very well received. Will be back.

Average beer, good food, grumpy and rude landlord. Will take my money elsewhere in future. Atmosphere in the pub was nice, but spoilt by our trip to the bar, where the barman/landlord was short, surly and not at all welcoming.

Arrived at midday and started with a beer on the terrace, perfect way to enjoy the sun. Headed inside for some food. Few people already eating, plenty of places to seat. Nice and relaxed feel. Several good options on the menu, including some lighter bites depending how hungry you feel. Good service and friendly staff. Would visit again.

Don't botther to go to the Edgemoor Inn unless you are going to eat. A friend and I were checking it out in order to possibly book it for a sixtieth birthday celebration for a group of twenty people for later in the Summer. We ordered drinks and as it was a Wednesday evening it was quite quiet. The restaurant... More

Have eaten here a couple of times before and have always found the food very good. This time there were some issues, the whitebait starter did not have a dip with it, two of the main dishes fish and salmon quiche which were accompanied by a salad, the salad itself consisted of mostly lettuce, very little in the way of... We walked in at 1.15pm on the Sunday of the Whitsun Bank Holiday without a reservation to find the pub and restaurant packed. Half tempted to beat a retreat, we nevertheless enquired about a table for two and were immediately offered a table by the window, just vacated, with beautiful views of the Painswick valley. Our order was quickly taken... More

We visited last night with friends and was stunned by the beautiful view when sitting in the dining room. We were attended to by a lovely young lady who was polite and friendly. Orders went through quickly and the whole meal was delicious. We were impressed by the waitress who was efficient and attentive, but not obtrusive. Excellent value for... More

We have visited this pub often over many years, and with people of all ages. We last visited it in May 2014 when I had a delicious chicken, mango and strawberry salad, and my husband had Scampi and chips, these were both part of the Light Bits lunch menu- 2 meals for £15.00 . For dessert I had apple and... More
