Lobster delight...

An excellent lunch in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Soft crab and Liver Pate & Foie Gras parfait were excellent starters. The lobster main courses were perfectly cooked and served. Puddings light and lovely... accompanied by excellent wines (wine list quality not quantity). Service was good.

OK we didn't book and it was a Friday evening but the restaurant fitted us in if we could free the cover by 8:30, no problem. Starters were fine, my pea and ham soup was delicious as was my partners smoked broad beans. The problem started with the mains, again my partners fillet steak was lovely, unfortunately my Cornish lobster... More

Absolutely couldn't rate high enough. We were a walk in late on Sunday evening. A table was found, food very efficient, tasty and plenty of choice. Staff were very welcoming. We will return.

Came here for lunch whilst holidaying at home. Treated ourselves to oysters and a charcuterie board. They were wonderful. Staff were great too. The weather helped and we sat outside. Sometimes nothing can beat a British holiday.

This tiny restaurant turns out remarkable meals. They obviously get lots of locals as regulars, but when we came by early they found a place for us. The food was excellent, as was the service. Everything is presented with great care and thoughtfulness. Well worth the visit.

If only the waiting staff had taken "Customer service 101" our visit would have been soooo much better! Two lattes, please was all we requested. They did eventually arrive & were fine. Paying was painful as I had to say LOUDLY at the till "I'd like to pay, please" whilst waving my purse around & being ignored. This looks like... More

Six of us booked for 7.30 on a saturday evening. Drinks order was quick but it took another 30 minutes for our food order to be taken despite trying to get the attention of the waitress! Fish was very nice as was the burger and pigs cheek, however the three steaks were all cooked exactly the same (medium to well... More

Walked in knowing nothing about the place, the menu board out front looked appealing, place was full so thought why not. So glad we did, owners wife was a delight, she was really nice and informative, food was impeccable and fast. Not pricey. Husband makes the bread and it was also amazing. Give it a try its well worth the... More
