Cutler's was a treasure. Located about a mile and a half from our hotel, this is a gem. The owner greeted us warmly and we discussed wines and the history of the restaurant "and hotel.py We ordered a variety of courses which we shared around-pate, salad, pork ensembles and other savories, Service was attentive and helpful. Pricing was reasonable. Desserts... More

Attentive service, quality, delicious food. Smallish menu, but a varied selection. Artistic presentation and innovative ideas.

The food was excellent and the wine list was good too. Staff very friendly and we received excellent service. Subtle music made for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

Number Four at Stow-on-the-Wold is a comfortable boutique hotel that is well-located for a stay in the Cotswolds, but its main claim to fame is its Cutlers restaurant, named for its head chef. Among the highlights of two dinners during our stay there were a succulent sea trout and monk fish wrapped in prosciutto. It is worth going there just... More

We had a major detour due to road works and the main road into Stow was virtually at a standstill and so to find a parking place would have been impossible so we abandoned any hope of visiting Stow. He decided to head for the Slaughters and just out of the town we stopped in a layby to check the... More

We arranged to have dinner here at very short notice, as a result of non-availability at the nearby hotel where we were actually staying. We could not have been made more welcome both on arrival and indeed throughout the meal - some personal touches that make all the difference, without being intrusive. And the food was excellent. Even fine ingredients... More

We ate here on a Saturday whilst staying at Number Four at Stow Hotel. Service was 1st Class and the food excellent. Nice friendly welcome with a good atmosphere. We both enjoyed the food very much. Only observation, NOT a complaint was that the Restaurant was closed on the Sunday night over a Bank Holiday weekend when its advertised to... More

I never would usually leave such a poor review of somewhere I've never visited, but on this occasion I feel I must, perhaps to forewarn others so they're not as disappointed as I am. I submitted an enquiry many weeks ago via email enquiring whether the restaurant was open on a Sunday (of a bank holiday), as the website says.... More

The Cutlers Restaurant is in the B&B - Number Four at Stow. They serve very good dinners. My wife and I stayed at Number Four at Stow and decided to try their dinner for one night. Although the restaurant gets very busy and reservations were recommended, they were able to accommodate us at the last minute. They had a cozy... More

This is a very good restaurant and it feels a little churlish to award it only 4 stars, but having eaten at Wild Thyme the day before we had a direct comparison to a real 5 star establishment. What was good - the lamb was tasty and perfectly cooked, the vegetables were also done nicely al dente, with a little... More
