Good ambient, Good service and the food was excellent! I had a chicken that was very tasteful. I'd easily go back there.

was staying at the nearby court house manor and was recommended the falcon for dinner. Very friendly on arrival. Had nice bottle of proseco which was great and then studied the menu. Had a great selection and I felt there was something there for everyone's taste. My partner and I ordered scallops for start, perfection!! For main my partner had... More

I was staying local and got recommended to go here for something to eat. Atmosphere was welcoming and straight away you can tell that the locals congregate here for an after work drink or a lovely evening meal. I ate the game casserole complimented by a large glass of shiraz and it was superb. Mini dumplings cooked to perfection and... More

Unfortunately they had no record of our booking for 7 people to celebrate my husbands birthday and they were quite busy. However they rustled round and prepared a table while we enjoyed a drink in the bar. We had a lovely evening with attentive staff, a nice atmosphere and delicious food. The menu was interesting and food beautifully cooked. Well... More

We dropped in for coffee and drink, finished up having lunch. Having said I would return following the broadside I delivered after our last visit, I have! I deliberately ordered the same liver and bacon dish that slammed on my last visit, it was as different as chalk and cheese, well worth returning for. Well done Neil, you are back... More

Lot's of good choices in Painswick from what I see on Tripadvisor. We were looking for a cozy pub, real fires and good food. So, as usual, I read a few Tripadvisor reviews and we headed off to the Falcon Inn. It lived up to all expectations. Firstly, it's right in the village, so we parked at the public pay-and-display... A group of friends selected the Falcon for a early Christmas celebration. We were very pleased to have chosen Falcon. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. It was particularly impressive to see the options provided for the two vegans in our party. We will definitely go back to this restaurant.

An early Christmas dinner with friends. Two of us usually have trouble finding somewhere with a vegan option but a phone call a day earlier did the trick and we had a lovely sharing platter of pitta, hummus, olives, stuffed vine leaves to start. Main course was beef tomato stuffed with mediterranean veg with couscous and salad and the staff... More
