Sunday evening pretty tired after a busy weekend, we walked into the Falcon Inn and were just impressed. Laughter st the bar, candles everywhere on the tables and just a very attractive yet simple restaurant. The food was excellent and great value, good bodice of food and wines. This is not to be missed.

The atmosphere is quite nice. Selections are all listed on a large blackboard. The food was just average compared to other pubs we have been in.

A lovely pub and restaurant in the middle of Painswick with views of the 99 Yew Trees. Great food and atmosphere.

Back to the good old Falcon for a good reliable meal and friendly staff. not required on this visit but they are not afraid to turn the heating on even in the summer if it is chilly outside, the temperature like the welcome is allwau=ys warm.

Ate there twice on a mini break, as the fist nights food was so lovely. Had food from the specials board both times. Would definetly go back again and again if local.

We ate here last night for our anniversary, the lamb shank was beautiful and the steak perfectly cooked. The owners have got it right, a wonderful atmosphere and great food. Megan the owners daughter was so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely evening.

We stayed at the Falcon by default having been turned away from the nearby Cotswold 88 hotel as we have a small dog. And very glad we were too! The Falcon is a quintessential English coaching inn. Mr Pickwick would have felt at home here. The room was spacious and well furnished, the food excellent and the staff friendly and... More

Been here twice now and on both occassions the food, service and hospitality were very good. Prices are higher than general "pub food" but the meals are really worth it, good quality and tasty. It's almost worth the price just for the view of Painswich churchyard which is magnificent!

The Falcon has recently been updated and has a lovely interior, but on our last visit we were very disappointed with both the service and the food. Meals are small and expensive - especially at lunchtime, and the service was slow. I was so pleased that we went across the road after for lovely birthday cake!

Arrived to The Cotswolds late on a Friday night and The Falcon luckily take orders until 9.30pm. Quite late for Painswick apparently! We both ordered a sirloin (medium) and fillet (medium rare) and it was cooked to perfection and was so tasty. I was so impressed by this as I seem to have had a run of bad luck with... More
