Good lunch snack in pleasant surroundings

We were driving through at around 12.30, and stopped for a quick snack having been on the road since 9. The beer was good, and I ordered a veggie baguette which, when it came, was immense, hot, with very good granary bread. There was plenty for a lunch and it had a garnishing of salad and crisps.

We arrived early for dinner and were accommodated in the restaurant. The battered fish and chips were very good and a large portions. The chicken and rabbit pie was excellent and again very large portion. However the Stroganoff was a very small portion which was served with three small fried balls of rice and potato. One person asked for a... More

We visited on Saturday evening while staying at the nearby caravan club site. Having tried unsuccessfully, earlier in the day, to book a table in the restaurant area we arrived early evening hoping that the bar area wouldn't be too busy. It wasn't, and we were able to find a table for the two of us. The menu has something... More

When you think of Sunday lunch in England, you think of warm, cosy bars with open fires, a busy ambience and great quality, locally sourced food. I can confirm that you will find all of that at the Redesdale Arms. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in this beautiful, 17th century travelling inn, and it more than made... More

AMAZING!!! Have been here 5 times now....... Every time I say I'm going to write a review but this time I have finally been true to my word. We have had the same room all the previous visits apart from the most recent - both rooms (probably like all the others) are clean, tidy, spacious, very comfortable and nicely decorated.... More

Just what we were looking for. Beef was cooked perfect, the vegetables were fresh, mash potato was creamy and the roast potatoes crispy. We would certainly come back again.

It was asparagus season so the specials all included asparagus. The standard of cooking was extremely high and our party of four enjoyed this meal immensely.

My self and my wife went, there today for the first time. After looking around the market. The food was shocking the wives fish was not fresh, was cooked from frozen, and my beef was well over cooked. The staff were all foreign and not that polite and speaking in there own language, a British woman did tell them to... More

Dear Oliver Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, sorry we didn't quite get it right this time. I can assure you that all of our fish is fresh as we have daily deliveries and the menu that we offer on a market day is as competitive as you can get. Also i can tell you that... More
