I want to start by saying this occasion was our SECOND visit. On our first visit we were delighted, food brilliant and good service. So-o . . on Sat 12th July we took family there. Ooops! They were busy & to seat five of us we were shown outside to a sort of bijou alleyway (other people were already out... More

Firstly I should make it clear that this review and rating is as a pub as we only went in for a couple of early evening drinks, so I cannot comment on the food or restaurant aspect. It is very centrally situated on the main market square, with two bars. One bar has the modern seating arrangement of higher stools... More

The location and decor were good, the service and food overpriced and cool. Staff are indifferent to customers they much prefer to chit chat together. The food when it finally arrived was on cold plates hence cold food and for what you get over priced. The Fleece really only gets customers because where it is located it really has no... More

We were returning from a trip to Hereford and stopped for coffee. It was very busy at 11.15 on a Friday but there appeared to be adequate staff. Our order was quickly taken but took a very long time to appear .The staff were smartly dressed and the decor was good .The coffee was good .However when it came to get a... Just been out for dinner with a friend and had a lovely dinner. I had the mushroom soup and the chicken and mushroom pie. Food was great - fresh and hot. You can also buy champagne by the glass which is fab! The service wasn't bad, it was just average really. My friend ordered a steak but had to ask... More

This restaurant was recommended and well worth it. We visited for lunch on Friday 6th June 2014, enjoyed every bite, OK it was not the cheapest but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Very tasty food served in the bar or restaurant. I would especially recommend the haddock and chips.

We went here on the 27 May at lunchtime. Arriving at 12:30 at our pre-booked table with only one other table occupied we waited 30 minutes for our starters. The waiter then asked if we would like our main courses at the same time? My main course steak came out cold (had it been ready at the same time as... More
