Western meals - centrally located in the market square, quite reasonable prices, good ambience, tasty food. Prices - £21.95 for a sirloin steak, £11.95 for a Ceasar Salad with chicken, £4.50 for a bowl of soup with light bread and butter, £11.95 for a roasted half chicken with sides.

Not sure if the poor service was down to it being a weekend and all staff seemed very young with no management visible? Three of us visited around 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. Although the place was buzzy it was not that crowded but had to wait for a long time to place our order and even longer for the... More

We have been here several times and the food and service has been excellent on every occasion. There is a very good choice on the menu - the fleece burger is very good. The atmosphere is warm and friendly as are the staff. Prices are reasonable.

We called in here after calling in for a browse around Cirencester. We ordered the roast beef and Yorkshire pud which were huge. The veg was cooked just right, nice flavoured real gravy and the food brought put promptly. We had Eton Mess for dessert which again was very good. I'd definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.

We were staying at the hotel and had dinner all the days of our stay (7 days). Food and service were outstanding, with a really good choice of dishes and also wines, large portions and choice of menu for our daughter. We were delighted and we highly recommend it.

Went here for a family dinner whilst away for the weekend. The pub looks very inviting however looks can be deceiving. Service was very poor and confused. The calamari starter tasted like fishy leather and the crab linguine was bland. Wine tasted cheap despite it being quite expensive. Nothing taken off the bill and waiting staff were pretty clueless despite... More

We had the most wonderful reception for an evening meal with my wife on a Saturday night in the bar. A fisherman's platter and a steak. Everything was great from the moment we walked in. Friendly staff that are genuinely friendly but not over familiar is a great asset. Food not haute cuisine but just great and straight forward. Top... More

Just awful! Ate there last night. Three of us, hungry and tired. The service was confused and the food was just bad. I had the saddest lamb chop, overlooked and fatty. I sent it back, and the replacement was no better. My daughter's veal special could only be compared to shoe leather. The steak was fine. There must be better... More

First time at this venue for food. We weren't disappointed! The place was quiet but it didn't put us off as the welcome and décor was first class. We sat outside in the lovely sunny garden at the rear and we were attended to promptly and ditto for the food. it was cooked well, fresh and everything you would expect... More

I hadn't been to this restaurant for many years but it has stood the test of time and is probably better than ever. Fairly limited choice if not wanting to blow the budget but two excellent meals delivered and wine at reasonable price.
