Restaurant used as office

Odd experience, had a nice meal but surprised that staff were sitting at the next table to us to do their pile of paperwork. Not sure what atmosphere trying to create. Probably the strangest thing I've seen in a restaurant for years.

Met friends for lunch, although the fish and chips looked good decided to have the mushroom burger, it was delicious managed to finish the whole plateful. Finished with creme brûlée which was wonderful, so creamy. Friend had the fish and chips and chocolate brownie, the plates left clean - both excellent was the decision. I know we will All be... Took my son for lunch - poor service, waiters kept walking past - even when I asked for service. Ended up asking at the bar... Food when it came was not good - stale bread, tasteless main. Very pricey, very poor...no- one interested in listening to complaint, either!

Had lunch there today. Lovely food but the staff were noisy. The people behind the bar were clattering about and the coffee machine seemed to require a lot of banging about to take the used beans out. It made my partially sighted mother jump twice. Suggest eating away from the bar area.

We were supposed to dine in our hotel restaurant but didn't particularly like the look of their menu - at 7pm on Saturday night it was too late to get into any of the other restaurants we had found - walking past The Fleece we popped in on chance and were given a very warm welcome - drinks brought to... We were staying in the bedrooms and arrived fairly well in to the evening and decided to have dinner in the open restaurant. Food was nice, perhaps a little too 'fancy'/'seafood heavy' for my tastes - I felt a little restricted by the menu - though we can vouch for both the venison burger and the sausage and mash. Busy... Went today. Food was average. Had to wait a long time for food. When it came the chips were cold. In fairness our waitress was very attentive and was very apologetic for the delay and we received a reduction in price.

This looks like a fab pub. So we went in for a drink and a sweet snack I sat whilst my partner went to the bar "We don't do cakes, but we have brownies, but we're waiter service, sit down and I'll send the waiter over" So we did. And for 10 minutes no-one came. So I went to the... More

One of our favourite places to eat in Ciren. Friendly staff (especially Phil!) and the steak/wine deal is a winner
