Yammie food and good service

Lovely food, we had beautiful fish soup and pizza prosciuotto and calzone, for drinks espresso, sparkling water and decaf cofee. As a side dish we ordered rocket salad with grated parmiggiano cheese and tomatoes. I couldn't get enough of my lovely sorbet lemon flavour :-)) big portion. As I... read more

This wasn't my first visit and it won't be my last! Lovely food, nice wine list, reasonable prices - and really nice, welcoming service.

Small Italian restaurant. Short menu, but the food was good. I had the vegetarian pasta for £9 and was happy with the large portion; very hot, very tasty.

I went to Piazza Fontana last night to celebrate my birthday. It had been recommended. I ordered a medium rare steak with a sauce. The steak was extremely tough and dry, and had little flavour. It tasted like it had been part-cooked and reheated in the oven. It certainly wasn't medium, let alone medium rare. The sauce was a good... More

Went there recently with my wife and 3 children. The food is proper Italian and compared to to the chain restaurants down the road such a cut above, A quiet place but they made the children feel special . A good selection of pizza and past.£59 for five, with drinks and desert. It felt a special place to go, rather thanjust... More

Having spent a lot of time in Italy we were very happy to find this lovely Italian restaurant and frequent it regularly. Busy even on a Monday. If you are looking for good value Italian cooking I would recommend trying this restaurant.

Ate here for lunch today as the other three places we tried were heaving. This place was tucked away down an alley and virtually empty. Met by a friendly waiter and had a very pleasant meal. Good value for money. My only note to the waiter was please don't assume the change is your tip; it was but we found... More

I've been here a few time in the last six months -- with my partner and with friends. The outside is unprepossessing but the food and the friendly (if leisurely) service more than compensate.

Ok, unless there are 2 Piazza Fontanas on Castle Street, there's something not quite right here! A walk down the alley to this restaurant leads to a upvc door with a hand written sign on the inside welcoming the diner in. Once inside, it has a feel of a characterless portakabin in one visual direction, and a badly finished conservatory... More

Me and my work colleagues visited this restaurant for a celebration dinner! The restaurant is so lovely, and very inviting. We all had 3 courses each, which they were all good prices! I had salami and cheese which was delicious! The staff are all very welcoming and friendly! The restaurant is hidden away, and is definitely worth a visit! And... More
