Attentive without being fawning, fresh light imaginative food with eloqent but not fussy presentation. Good value plenty of space. Should put down the alcohol proof of their 6% perry.

This was my third visit to the daffodil over a number of years, and again I'm never disappointed. We went on a works bash with 20 or so other ladies and two gents. This was an old cinema i believe that has been converted and so retains a lot of its features, high ceilings and grand staircase and a balcony... More

We visited the Daffodil for the first time for dinner recently and were very impressed with the building and decor. Its very different, being a converted cinema from the 1920s, so the actual dining space is quite large and open apart from a few side booths. We were seated right in the centre of the space so it was quite... More

I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend last week. We were very much looking forward to our meal after reading previous reviews. We were greeted on arrival very pleasantly by front of house and shown to our table which was nicely set in the restaurant which is an old converted cinema. The young lady who was our waitress for the... More

We had a family pre-theatre dinner at Tbe Daffodil and found it truly impressive. Tbe decor alone was stunning. The owner and staff were welcoming, efficient and smart. Everything was immaculate. The service was friendly and crisp. We loved the setting and the special ambience, enhanced by classy music of the appropriate vintage and volume - most important for conversation.... More

We went with friends and enjoyed the meal. Nice fish and pork dishes, tasty vegetables and delicious scallops. A little worn around the edges but overall good for a nice dinner.

We took friends here for the Daffodil's Monday evening Jazz. We have been before and had a great time - this time was truly excellent. Very attentive, polite staff, astonishingly good food and lovely jazz being played. Truly excellent!

I did not enjoy our meal at the daffodil, as soon as we walked in I felt the staff were looking down their noses at us. Our food arrived and the waiter was rude, the food was not worth the price either. Overall a disappointing experience and we will not be going back.

An old cinema converted in to a restaurant with a very tasteful cuisine and some extraordinary cocktails for afterwards. Highly recommended if you are passing by Cheltenham.
