Felt as though it was very overrated and despite the beautiful building, and lovely atmosphere it was nothing to write home about and would not eat there again.

I've visited twice for afternoon tea, and loved the place!! Sandwiches and cakes were utterly divine, and reasonable in price. On one of the visits we went on a Saturday afternoon, there was a wonderful jazz band playing which only added to the fabulous ambiance of the place. The waiting staff are attentive without being intrusive, and really helpful. The...

I hadn't been to The Daffodil for a while and when a friend suggested going along on a Monday night to the Jazz evening we all agreed. I had a cousin staying and she joined us. The meal was sublime with the atmosphere and service equally as good. We all chose different meals and none of us was disappointed. The...

We have been a few times and enjoyed it each time, fine dining all the way. The truffle chips were amazing, and the experience is really great, can be expensive so wouldnt go all the time, but on special occasions.
Very unusual setting - old cinema converted to restaurant. Food was excellent, high standard and service was equally good. We hadn't booked but still managed to get in (week night). Busy but not noisy - very pleasant evening. Not cheap but ideal for special evening.
Fabulous time here right from the moment we walked in. We were are party of 8 girls celebrating a birthday, the service was excellent and the food really good the place was buzzing on a Saturday night and wouldn't hesitate to recommended it. I think booking in advance is a must.
Some friends and i came for the tasting menu which we throughly enjoyed. Excellent value for money friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can recommend the cocktails will return
Food just short of excellent but the Daffodil overall offers a great night out with a lovely atmosphere and great service. Recommended to us by Willoughby House Hotel, another great experience and just a short stroll away in the Centre of Montpelier
The atmosphere and decor of the Daffodil are fantastic and service was efficient even at capacity on Gold Cup day.
Our party of 6 enjoyed very well made cocktails before dinner.
I then shared the excellent taster menu while others ordered individual dishes. No complaints from any of us including a coeliac who was well catered for.
Not the cheapest...
