I went here with my wife today for our second anniversary. Great decor and staff were friendly. We were sat under the stairs which meant the view of the afternoon jazz band. We requested to move during our main. We had the dalies deal, the tomato soup was average at best. We had duck for main which was ok albeit... More

Went to see Andrea Motiz at the Jazz festival. Combined it with a meal at the Daffodil, which was really enjoyable.

This was a return visit for us after a 2 year gap. The first time we visited was for dinner in the evening and we were both very impressed with the venue, and the delicious food. For our return visit we booked a lunch time appointment, which lacked some atmosphere as it wasn't very busy and it's a large space... More

Return visit to the Daffodil for me. First visited in 2005, for a graduation lunch with family. Another special occasion no.1 daughters hen weekend. It did not disappoint. We were early for our dinner booking and were shown to the upper circle cocktail bar, served by very friendly bar staff, happy to make suggestions for a cocktail of choice! Can... More

Loved the conversion of this former art deco cinema. Great service and a promising menu but ultimately disappointing food. Pricey too.

The restaurant is in a former cinema and has a very art deco feel. The menu is varied; our choices were delicious, lamb shank for husband, hake and mussel curry for me. The service was friendly, prompt and helpful without being intrusive. A good wine list, and with the possibility of having really good wines by the glass or carafe... More

The restaurant is located in a former movie theater, and has a 1920's/deco charm. The dishes are unique, and very tasty. We enjoyed attentive service, although we ate before most people arrived.

Service - excellent ,the staff are there when ever needed but not intrusive. Food - tasty and beautifully presented, with a good selection of options according to individual requirements. Best for 'occasions dining' but also for family eating. Probably best to book beforehand but mid week dining possible if you're willing to take a chance.

Stylish, atmospheric and a great range of food. We visited recently with two friends and were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and efficient and the food was well cooked with a good choice. I particularly liked the Cheese Soufflé starter but my Black Angus Rib Eye steak could have been better. A little on the tough side, my wife... More
