The location is a must see. The former cinema creates a great atmosphere for a lunch or dinner. Service is good and the menu varied to a good quality. Not the cheapest venue in the locality, so possibly better for a special occasion or if someone else is paying!!!

Booked a table for 2 at 1.30pm Saturday lunch time. Unexpectedly another friend joined us. We were politely told that there was no way our friend could join us as they were fully booked. So just the 2 of us took our seats......in a 3/4 full restaurant.... When we enquired about the empty tables we were told that they were... More

We, our party of 6, had a Saturday lunch here to celebrate a 50th birthday, seated at a table on the balcony with an excellent view of the very attractive decor, and the stage where the small jazz band performed and behind which the kitchen could be seen. Excellent food and wine.

Had a meal here last night for my birthday. Beautiful building, extremely attentive staff. I had the fillet steak with pepper sauce which was cooked medium. It was so, so chewy it was actually exhaustive to eat. Perhaps I should have chosen rare or that is just how fillet steak is meant to be? Encrusted with peppercorns as well as... More

We attended the Daffodil on a Friday evening where they do a Friday Fizz which is a half price offer on champagne and sparkling wines. The front of house team were welcoming, and all members of staff were polite and efficient. There were no delays in ordering or the food coming out. Staff were efficient, regularly topping up our glasses.... More

I was taken ere for a birthday meal and was not to be disappointed. The atmosphere was superb and the food second to none. On a friday evening before 8pm all champagne is half price so this was a very nice way to begin the evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Shortly after visiting this restaurant I emailed to request that our details be removed from the mailing list as I had been disappointed by the surly reception immediately upon our arrival. A manager replied asking for further details which I duly gave, to which he responded by loftily stating that he would "investigate the matter and reply back (sic) formally".... More

Had a dinner there from tasting menu, food top notch, service great but long wait for table and food. Not bothered as staff made sure we are looked after and can't fault the meals.

About one week in advance we tried to book a table for a Saturday night dinner but tables were only available for 9.30 pm - lunch time was fully booked to apparently but the bar is available without bookings. We decided to go to the bar for the lunch time jazz. When we got into reception we were told that... More
