Closing down!!!

This is a restaurant that will be sorely missed. The news was announced that they have gone on to receivership. Astonishing given how busy they were for Christmas. We had a great time here, as we always do. The upstairs cocktail bar was packed and all the tables were serving their great quality... read more

We went to The Daffodil for my dad's birthday and started at the bar upstairs. WOW what a wonderful atmosphere! The bartender was enthusiastic and outgoing. The service was quick and entertaining. Such a beautiful place to celebrate a birthday, very special. Thank you for a lovely and memorable day.

Food was good, staff very friendly and we enjoyed the Monday night jazz from Patsy Gamble. No sign at all that it would go into liquidation 4 days later, what a real shame. We were intending to go back for future... More

Shame, unexpectedly and a shock to staff; Friday 29th did not happen for them or customers. A local reporter was posted outside anticipating that many clients, new and returning, would be arriving without knowing.

Arrived for lunch today only to find it's been closed down! Disappointed that we weren't notified beforehand as it was a special birthday occasion. What a shame as it was our favourite restaurant.

We had three courses - the main being lobster - and the flavours, presentation, detail were all top drawer. For me, to be an amazing venue, it's all about the bathrooms - the daffodil... More
