Simply the best

We were there to celebrate Mum's special birthday. And it was just so special... Mum enjoyed the food and the service was perfect. Will love to celebrate another special birthday there.

We ate here for lunch and were blown away... From a very unassuming exterior you walk into a heaven of warmth and calmness. Greeted openly by Helen and her team we took our table straight away and perused the menu, all of which looked to die for. We both had Scallops to begin with and Lamb for mains, desert we... More

A special birthday meal was made even better by the attention to detail and friendliness of this place and the staff. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent choice of good value wines inc some favourites from NZ. The quality of the food will speak for itself - come also for the atmosphere which is relaxed and serene. Highly... More

We've lunched here on a number of occasions over the past few years and what doesn't change is the welcome given by Helen and the food prepared by David. Every occasion is an adventure where different flavours complement each other perfectly. The amuse bouche is always a treat and the bread delicious. The menu isn't cheap but you get what... More

Visited a couple weeks ago and was very impressed. The attention to detail was exceptional. The food was outstanding. We started with the amuse-bouche of broccoli soup and bacon foam which set the tone for the meal. The house-made breads were excellent. I started with the wood pigeon which I really enjoyed. It was a first for me and the... More

The food was superb - I had well-cooked venison and an adventurous Thai green curry sorbet along with many other creative hors' doeuvres . The service is polite and the room nice, with some interesting art. The ambiance was fine, however it did feel a little judgmental as such, as if one had to watch one's step at all times.... More

The food here is the star, everything is fantastic, we had the chef's menu brilliant from start to finish. The prices aren't cheap but they represent fantastic value for a two star Michelin restaurant, you owe it to yourself to go at least once, you won't be disappointed.

This is the second time we have been here and this visit was even better than the last. Truly outstanding from start to finish. Service excellent, food even better! At £32 for 3 courses plus bread, appetisers and amuse bouché, it represents brilliant value and it's a must in Cheltenham. The restaurant is quiet with no background music but it... More

Expectations were high. A very special dinner for us as we were celebrating my mother-in-law's 60th birthday. It didn't let us down. In fact, the quality, value for money and execution were all best in class. We live in London and would put this restaurant with any of the capital's best. One can always nit pick and there were two... More

Group of well behaved friends felt that we were perceived as being a nuisance. Food was good but nothing special. Won't be going back.
