It seemed like a nice pub for a works Christmas do. We were very grateful they were able to host us on a night when lots of other venues were busy. Unfortunately the Stilton and walnut salad contained no Stilton or walnuts (although someone did find a bonus hair in their starter). The soup was tepid, as was the main... More

Popped in for Sunday lunch as The Exmouth is one of our favourite haunts - nice coffee, good atmosphere, room for children. Had nachos, fish finger sandwich and sweet potato fries. All good but execution could have been better - very big pieces of meat in chilli nachos, not enough fish finger and not keen at all on lettuce. Overall,... More

My wife and I love the Exmouth: it is a great pub and they have lots of events and ideas to make any pub visit fun and interesting. However, their Sunday lunch, which used to be so excellent, has gone rapidly downhill in recent weeks. A few weeks back we were treated to cold mashed carrot, one roast potato, fatty... More

had lovely afternoon here in the warmer weather outside in the large garden, awesome nachos and dips, pricey but all made fresh including the tortilla chips. Also visited for Sunday lunch and blown away by the quality of the lamb roasts we had.

The over cooked egg, tasteless ham and refried chips together with the a doorstep of a Club sandwich was certainly not worth the 35 minute wait we had to endure! My 12 year old grand daughter could have done better !.

Okay our favourites are back on the menu. This used to be our favourite stop for Saturday lunch / brunch - nice flat white, comfy chairs and home made nachos with either chilli or chicken and chorizo or just guacamole and sour cream. Hooray they are back and we will once more visit again. Tip - coffee offers pre 12... More

Had a lovely evening at the Exmouth Arms this past weekend. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We ordered three different main courses that all came out promptly and we're super delicious! I had been excited by the dessert menu and opted for the rice pudding as it is rare that you get a good one - but the... More

The bar is quite small and both times we visited we had to wait a while to get a drink as people tend to hover around the bar after they've bought their drinks. Huge beer garden - bet it gets packed out on a summers night.

Expensive drinks and real ales not kept properly. Staff attitude is appalling and if quizzed about the quality of the beer argue that it is you at fault not them. Need to understand the customer is king and even if they do not agree something be professional about it.

Great atmosphere and recently refurbished particularly vibrant and bustling on live music nights - good range of food but not what I would call an eating pub
