Has Red Pepper ceased trading?

I'm so surprised Red Pepper is no longer trading in Cheltenham as twice recently we've wanted to eat there but it's doors remain firmly closed. It was always such a good place to eat it's disappont6ing to think it has now gone forever. Does anyone have any information about it's closure or know... read more

We went to this restaurant prior to seeing a play at The Everyman Theatre and it was very tasty and very good value with what we felt was good service. The starters were a good size

Nice cheerful service. The food was quite nice but not memorable. We had fishcakes which came with a sauce and salad, followed by Raspberry panna cotta and apple tart. We were there for a pre-theatre meal, the Everyman is next door. You are encouraged to pre-order your choices to ensure a quick turn-a-round. It seemed that all the diners were theatre-goers.... This is the second time we've eaten at Red Pepper and unfortunately both times we've been disappointed. The menu is good however both times it's been let down by a lack of flavour or seasoning. My partner had the steak and asked for medium/rare. However received a medium well and very tough steak.

The last time I dined at red pepper was years ago, and the experience was matched during my dinner last night. The restaurant is relatively plain with a house feel, and lets the food do the talking. On Wednesdays red pepper offer 2 steaks, fries and a bottle of red for 24 pounds.. This is fantastic value for money, and... More

Have been to Red Pepper twice. Once for coffee, once for breakfast. The food selection is very good. The cakes are fantastic and the breakfast selection excellent. I would highly recommend for a visit.

I found the various opening times a little confusing but it all worked well in the end. Red Pepper is open during the daytime (until 16:00) as a café and delicatessen. It then closes until a variable opening time (between 17:30 and 18:00) for pre-theatre dinners which need to be reserved ideally with food pre-selected, and from 19:00 the restaurant... More

after struggling to find a restaurant for a birthday dinner we stumbled on this place by accident, is near the everyman theatre and also serves pre theatre meals, but we wanted to eat a little later, no problem, we both had the same meal king prawns on bruschetta wit a garlic and tomato sauce, pan fried chicken with vegetables confit... We stopped off here for lunch while visiting Cheltenham. It wasn't very busy - about 4 tables were taken. The waitresses were very friendly, but I we had to ask for menu's as we were seated & then left. We ordered 2 lattes & 2 jacket potatoes. The lattes came quickly, but after 20 minutes waiting, we had to chase... More

We booked a pre-theatre dinner. They have a system by which you can choose your food at time of booking so that you finish in good time for the theatre performance. The theatre is next door. The food and service was excellent and very good value. We chose this restaurant having seen it on trip advisor. The restaurant is upstairs,... More
