Description: Excellent family run Bistro and Delicatessen shop. Nothing is too much trouble. We tried the mid-week steak and wine promotion - expecations were over eceeded. Chef / owner Richard cooked all to our taste. can only recommend it. Atmosphere not so romantic, but relaxed and functional- bistro style

I needed a lunch table for 8 at short notice and the staff at Red Pepper were excellent. The food and service was great. Puddings are amazing. I've also eaten there for dinner for two and it was just as good.

We booked this the night before we visited, just on reading the menu! The service was good and attentive, and the food was so tasty and flavourful!

The food was nice, but when approached with a quiery as to why the BONELESS coq au vin was on the bone the chef was unbelievably rude, patronising and upset a few people. Very bad experience, better trained staff at Pizza Hut.

Oh dear, ladies go to the races but certainly do not behave like ladies in the restaurant after a few bottles of wine. I fail to understand when people have exceeded their alcohol limit they feel it is sociably acceptable to shout over their friends when talking so loud that tables a story upstairs in the bistro can hear swearing... There was 12 in our party and we ordered off the pre- theatre menu, as we ate before 7pm. The food was absolutely fantastic and very good value for money. I had 3 courses which cost £14.95:-) The staff were attentive and accommodating. The food was served altogether and piping hot. I will definately be coming here again.

I work in the town centre and had tried every establishment in the area for take-away lunch before I discovered Red Pepper - now I never go anywhere else... The only lunch choice I have to make each day now is which one of the many great quality options to choose (usually salad, soup or baked potato for me). When... More

First time at Red Pepper. 6 in the party and we each had very different main courses ranging from gnocci to fish, to lamb & chicken & desserts. All the food was served nice and hot and all together and everyone said how much they enjoyed their meals. Couldn't fault the efficiency and courtesy of the staff at the restaurant.... More

I found this restaurant whilst looking for a venue to hold a celebration dinner for 20 people following our daughters' graduation at Uni of Glos in Cheltenham. Red Pepper popped up on trip advisor with great reviews and it was a pleasure to deal with Richard, who very kindly created a bespoke set-menu to accommodate a variety of tastes within... More

Ideally located for The Everyman theatre which is very nearby. Main dining rooms are upstairs ( no lift) . Somewhat basic decor belies the superb service and excellent food. The Venison and Cranberry pie, served on an generous helping of mashed potato, was tasty and suitably Game-y : my dessert of Creme Brulee with Kirsch soaked cherries was delicious and... More

This is our favourite place to grab some lunch in town. It's always busy but seats are generally always available. Their are plenty of waiters and waitresses and although all young are polite and speedy. The coffee and hot chocolate are highly recommended as well as the Caesar salad and jacket potatoes. Could probably do something a little more interesting... More

We went to Red Pepper for a meal before going on to the Everyman Theatre to see Swan Lake. The venue is a little basic - cafe style perhaps rather than plush restaurant but that was fine. Our reception was warm and friendly and the staff were very aware that we were there "pre theatre" so they helped keep an... More
