Simple but excellent

This restaurant was recommended by a friend whose opinion I trust. I was there for Sunday lunch which seems to be a quiet time. The meze was excellent , the portions are generous but leftovers can be boxed to take home. The lamb was beautifully cooked , very tender and well cooked. The quality of... read more

This town centre (is Cheltenham a city?) restaurant was easy to find and had a real fire in the grate on the right as we walked in off a wind swept and rainy night. We were seated quickly, drinks orders were taken and brought to us efficiently. We had noticed previous reviewers warn of the portion sizes so we skipped... More

Absolutely excellent food, sublime service and very comfortable and pleasing interior to sit in and enjoy a meal. The hot Meze starter is an incredible dish to share and the mixed grill was a very generous portion and bought back a lot of memories of my time in Istanbul. Could not recommend this place enough and I implore that if... More

The food was really nice and good portions. 1 of the Lamb dishes came in a tomato based sauce, but does not say this on the menu, nevertheless it was still good. Strange that they have no Bacardi but I can recommend the Turkish beer! Service (waitress) was Ok but nothing special.

Authentic Turkish cuisine with pleasant service. The restaurant serves large portions for a good price. Recommended for anyone visiting Cheltenham.

Never been before but this restaurant was recommended by a friend and 10 of us came (with one wheelchair user). There are three steps up into the restaurant from the street side, but around the side there is an entrance with just a door lip. We were able to use this entrance and get the manual wheelchair over the lip... More

Restaurant was very quiet as 1st Saturday after New Year and staff could do with a bit more character. However, the 6 of us all had different dishes and there was not one complaint between us. Beautifully cooked to traditional recipes and standards and the lamb cooked in various ways between us was divine. Just one point - if you're... More

Following an early film showing, we thought we would chance a table without booking, on New Years eve. Just beat the rush and enjoyed tasty grilled tender lamb chops and husband had the mixed grill. Friendly staff and good service.....would go back to try more of the menu as quite a choice. Having eaten in Turkey a few times, difficult... More
