Spur of the moment dinner

Never eaten here before, thought we would give it a go, glad we did. The popadoms are quite big, and very tasty, not convinced about the pickle tray. My lamb biryani was extremely flavoursome, and really quite filling. My wife had a coconut chicken dish with a mushroom pilau rice. Again she said... read more

Great food!!! Good portions! Tasted very much homemade!!! Only one thing would be nice to have a bit more of an interaction with the staff and the customers.

I have been meaning to eat here for some time and we have finally had to chance to dine here and had a wonderful meal. The dishes were fresh and tasty and served hot. We particularly liked the Adrak curry and the lamb was very tender. I liked the more condensed menu which still provides a range of options. Service... More

We visited on Monday 29 December as a group of 8. The restaurant was quiet but the service was good. The manager told us at the beginning that the tandoor was broken so we could not have nan breads or kebabs which was very disappointing. The food was quite average & the price was fair. I probably would visit again... More

We eat here in December on a evening when the Cheltenham races had been on, so we where not expecting a lot. However a real surprise find ! This is a small traditional Indian restaurant, owned by the same people for nearly 20 years. The decor is what you would expect with pleasent , nice pictures and a slight modern... More

I've eaten here several times in the last couple of years and this must be the best Indian food in Cheltenham. The curries taste like they have been freshly made, not straight from a bottle like some restaurants. The Chicken Shashlik came sizzling out of the kitchen and tasted sublime. My friends had the Balti dishes with Naan bread and... More

We visited the Shezan Balti restaurant last weekend with friends from Cheltenham, who recommended it and had been there before. The actual place had zero character and was bland. This was more than compensated by the ok service, but the food was seriously good. I had the Jalfrezi, which was divine as was the nan bread, my wife loved her... More

i have been here a few times and the food is good. From my standpoint Indian food is in demand ,that said this restaurant exceeds in many ways.Firstly they are polite, important to me,secondly they instinctively know the type of food I like, thirdly whenever I eat here I always come away with a good way, I know it won't be bad.Thank... Had an enjoyable meal here with family pre cinema. Lovely flavours. A bit lacking in atmosphere. Very speedy service which is great if you have places to go people to see but wouldn't lend itself to making an evening of a meal
