Lovely surroundings but average food

Lovely surroundings and well worth a walk around before or after you have your afternoon tea. The tea was quite nice but just wasn't worth £20 per person which is a shame because it's such a lovely spot. The sandwiches are a bit dry and not what you'd expect from a traditional cream tea and the... read more

After waiting half an hour to be served even though it was prebooked, when the tea arrived it was terrible.....tiny and very dry sandwiches. Cakes which tasted as though they were a week old, and scones so hard you almost needed a chisel to cut into them.....

Out family went to Bibury as the first stop from London to Cotsworld. After wandering around Bibury and nearby Trout farm, we went for lunch in the Bibury Court hotel. It was too early for afternoon tea so we just went there for lunch and we were impressed with excellent food quality, service, and beautiful garden.

I booked an Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 23rd July for a friend's 70th birthday. As it was a special birthday I thought we would book a "special venue" in the Cotswolds. At £19 a head we were expecting something a little "special", The cakes and scones were very nice but the sandwiches left a lot to be desired. The bread... More

After an afternoons stroll around the picturesque village of Bibury we called in for tea at the lovely Court Hotel . The hotel is stunning and the staff very helpful and friendly , I would recommend a visit if you get the opportunity .

Visited on Sunday for afternoon tea. It's a stunning setting and anyone visiting the Cotswolds would be delighted -it's truly beautiful England. However the high tea was overpriced and underwhelming. Four of us had the tiniest 3 quarters with salmon and dill, ham and beef which is fine for the meat eaters but not what was advertised on the menu.... More

The owners have a beautiful Grade 1 building in a great setting. The restaurant and hotel go from bad to worse. No visbile management bar tables not cleared of plates and bottles by 11am from previous evening. After a terrible Sunday lunch last year-we went back on 17 August having read they had just recruited the outstanding chef from Allium in... More

We booked a Sunday afternoon high tea for two people, and were asked to arrive at a designated time. The main lounge where teas appeared to be served was full, so we had to sit in the bar area. The bar area looked a bit of mess, as they had simply stacked all the glasses from their Sunday lunch service... More

We travelled to Bibury yesterday and were very disappointed to be refused coffee at 11.00 am. I can't think that they will allow non residents in for afternoon tea? Possibly, they must have a fluctuating / confused policy or it may be they don't like wet travellers.

We have visited this hotel twice now. Both times we were very disappointed. Our first visit was for a cream tea. We ordered what we wanted and waited and waited and waited.... While we were waiting we noticed more people come in, order their cream teas, and get their cream teas! I finally had enough and approached a waitress asking... More
