Very, very good fish & chips

We ate in the restaurant rather than the take-away. Don't be fooled by the interior which is pretty tired - its very clean and its worth the visit because of the food. We had cod and chips - medium sized which was massive, and boy was it good. A 20 minute wait for the food but the restaurant was... read more

Traditional fish and chips to take away or eat in, and they also have great daily specials in the restaurant. I look out for the halibut which does come in small, medium or large and is delicious grilled plain or with herbs. The small is enough for me as I like to leave room for their home made puds, particularly... More

Food really nice but eating area a bit cramped. Service slow and not very friendly. No parking nearby. Fish cooked well and tasted fresh with batter nice and crispy. Chips could have been better. Good price. Also do counter/take away fish and chips

The best fish and chips in Seaford. That's just the way it is. The chips are lovely, curry sauce great, lovely bit of cod. Yes indeed.

This is a no-nonsense fish and chip saloon with adjacent chip shop. At 1.30pm trade was very brisk so a longer than expected wait was incurred (about 25 minutes). Comprehensive menu, I chose the cod and chips with mushy peas as extra and a pot of tea. Well worth the long wait though, maybe I was forgotten about or just... More

Visited with elderly parents today. Excellent service from the waitress who suggested that they could do a half portion of scampi for him and that they could share one portion of chips between them. We all enjoyed our meals and will return.

Having eaten here many times both in the restaurant and for take out we always find the fish is freshly cooked and of a very high standard this was the case on our last visit but the chips were dry and limp not up to standard. Still probably the best in the area and good value. The waiter who has... More

Have eaten in a few times and enjoyed many, many takeaways and have rarely been disappointed even when the place is heaving and under pressure. At its best the fish is superb [ very enjoyable with wine on the beach]. Yes, the restaurant is old fashioned, a little cramped and quirky but it doesn't pretend to be pretentious. You get... More

I have enjoyed many fish n chips over the years but I can honestly say Trawlers is the best by far. I was shocked to see this rated so low down in Seaford and in my opinion should be a lot higher. I have never had a bad experience, the food is not greasy and always tastes so good. Whenever... More

Excellent fish and chips. This shop has a very good reputaion and strives successfully to live up to it. Trawlers also has a restaurant, which our art club decided to take advantage of for our Christmas lunch last year - it was a raucous success!
