We waited about half an hour to take away chips that tasted as though they'd been hanging around for half an hour and fish that was overcooked in a thick hard overcoat. There were plenty of customers just foods coming out at an incredibly slow pace. One couple had to leave without their food as they had to catch a... More

We visited Trawlers on recommendations of our landlord during our visit last month, and we were not disappointed. The service was nice, and the fish & chips we ordered was delicious. We would likely go there again if we would be in that area another time.

We ate here one evening last week and enjoyed our meals a good deal. My Grannie had a busy fish shop so I know the game well. The place was clean and tidy and service pleasant if not very friendly. The rock/huss/Dogfish call it what you will, was excellent as was the cod. Portions were good size and well cooked.... More

My son pre-ordered a take away fish and chips. . We usually use Osbournes but they were not answering the phone. Usually if you phone first you would think this meant it would be freshly cooked .What a disappointment for what was going to be a bit of a treat.Fish batter was very hard and dark brown.Fish grey, not flakey... Have been visiting Trawlers in Seaford for many years and is a favourite with family and friends. Just can't beat the excellent service. Always very helpful and courteous - nothing is too much trouble. A busy little restaurant serving fish/chips/pies/and other items - everything arrives freshly cooked. Just can't beat Trawlers for the very best in fish 'n chip supper... More

Went here for dinner one sunny evening, service was quick and fairly polite. Dinner disappointing, small portion of chips even though it was large. Chips looked like they had been sitting there all afternoon, we had salt and vinegar and wish we had, drowned in vinegar and smothered it salt, wasnt an enjoyable experience. Shame as I'd heard fairly good... More

We have eaten regularly at Trawlers since we discovered it having moved to the area three years ago; so had no hesitation in taking very discerning friends there this week - we and they were not disappointed. OK you may either love or hate the retro decor but we love it, however it is the quality of the fish and... More

We ate at Trawlers this evening and ordered medium huss and medium cod with chips. The fish was cooked perfectly to order, the batter was thin and crisp. The chips actually tasted of potato, unlike those served in some restaurants, and were nicely fried. No excess oil or grease anywhere. Everything was piping hot and served with lemon and two... More
