We just stopped here for a cappucino and espresso and we loved the coffee and the atmosphere. Relaxed and comfortable!

We popped in for breakfast today and admittedly, I have a cold and this makes me quite crotchetty. I thought the atmosphere very pleasant, the service excellent and our food was really nice - a bacon butty and a toasted teacake. A bit slow to arrive but fine. However, if you are thinking of visiting on a warm summer's day,... More

The staff are delightful. It's quirky, but perhaps predictable. Cake was delicious, coffee fine. Cream tea is a bargain for less than £6 you get 2 scones and loads of clotted cream.

Amazing for a spot of breakfast or a light lunch! Coffee is great and I recommend the quiche! Great value for money and I would return anytime I'm in Rye!

Great atmosphere in this quirky Rye coffee shop with classical music playing softly in the background. Battered antique furniture, deep leather sofas, newspapers and luxury lifestyle magazines strewn here and there. Frequented mostly by locals who enjoy good coffee, cake and brunch menu. Excellent staff too.

Had a great lunch here on earlier this week - The Apothecary is a really lovely coffee shop with a wonderful warm, welcoming atmosphere and a hotch potch of styles and furniture throughout. We had a simple lunch, delicious ploughman's for me with two cheeses and plenty of fantastic bread while my wife had tomato soup and a roll. Simple,... More

Went to this cafe after reading reviews etc - food was good especially the crepes which were enjoyed by the younger members of the group. The big disappointment was the coffee - tried to explain to the waitress about a flat white and hit exactly that - a flat white cup if coffee - week and no evidence of steamed... More

Once an old apothecary this lovely coffee shop has bags of charm with a lot of original features still in place such as the old counter & medicine drawers. Teamed up with battered armchairs a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, superb home made cakes & freshly made coffee, tea, milk shakes or a light lunch it is well worth a visit to... More
