Quirky coffee/tea house

Quirky and homely décor and furnishings. Lovely attentive staff. We only had drinks/ pastries but the food looked lovely and very reasonably priced. A great little place in the centre of this lovely old town.

The young staff are good, the place is quirky and interesting. We have eaten here several times. Food is ok, coffee ranges from ok to not very good depending who makes it.

We had coffee and cake there. Absolutely fantastic place. Obviously a former apothecary shop, old tables and chairs, lots of small rooms leading off each other. Very trendy in an understated way, I just loved it. Pity it's so far from home or I would definitely be a regular.

Cosy, great food and cakes. Good coffee. Both times we've been to Rye, we pop in for a sausage sandwich and were not disappointed. We always leave saying we wish there was one closer to home!

We stopped in whilst wandering around Rye for tea. We ended up having a snack and getting some sandwiches made to take away for a picnic at the nature reserve. This place is funk personalised - old pews for seats, writing on the mirrors, old books to read. To be honest I could have stayed all day, reading, eating, drinking... More

We visited here for coffee and cake with our 4 year old. It was gorgeous, amazing old decor, lovely rustic furniture and a deceiving amount of space and seating. Very tasty cakes and pastries were set out to choose from and we had fast service. So glad we chose this cafe out of the many on offer.

Called in here today. Really good Welsh Rarebit and Coffee but the banana toffee crepe with vanilla ice cream was yummy

The Apothecary is an institution. It's brilliant. The people that work there are bright and breezy and always upbeat. The regulars are warm and welcoming. They say "hello" to pretty much everyone and anyone and aren't at all snobby. My family loves this place as they welcome push-chairs and wheel-chairs and any kind of walking stick and zimmer frame. They simply LOVE babies and young children... We stopped for refreshments whilst strolling around Rye. Their extensive range of teas, coffees and milkshakes is supplemented by a tasty array of snacks and we enjoyed toasted teacakes and Victoria sponge which kept us going till dinner.
