Delicious!

Had a lovely meal here in April 2015. Excellent local lamb, and fantastic cod and lentils. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

The staff here were lovely. The evening meal we had was good (it was really busy, even mid-week) and the breakfast we had was very well cooked and plenty of it. It's a very attractive place and well worth trying.

We called in hear several times whilst we were staying in Rye. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was lovely, although we only had the bar snacks.

my husband wanted a burger for his birthday dinner. The Standard beef and chorizo burger did not disappoint

Great night away...lovely room and food in a fantastic setting and beautiful town. The food offered was of a high quality and all locally produced. Managers and staff very approachable and offered tips for stay. Rooms of a high standard and comfortable. Breakfast is a must...best ever!

Had a great lunch with family( early teens and younger) Fish and chips, pie of the day and local lamb were all really good! Not a huge menu but specials board as well and often with food 'less is more'! Really old (over 500 years) but has been a really good atmosphere and was refurbished in last two years! Good... More

The pub has a lovely decor and feel to it. It was serving one of my favourite beers on tap, Curious Brew, a local Kent brewed lager. However, it was the food that stole the show with a delightful fish & chips and the chorizo burger which was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, the beef was... More

It being a Monday night, everywhere in Camber was closed, so we took a cab out here on a whim. HOW JOYFUL WAS OUR DISCOVERY! I apologise for caps but really, it was exceptional, and I don't have the power of clever adjectives etc to differentiate this place to the required degree. For my dinner I had the lamb and,... we have some great memories of Tim and Raj's old place and we'd travelled for 1hr 45 mins to see if the standard could come close. We were sure they couldn't do it again BUT oh yes. You know the rest. It was better than coming home. A lovely warm welcome great food and impeccable service. Thank you. It was... More

Having visited on a number of occasions I can say that that this pub is by far the best in Rye. The selection of beers is very impressive, as is the food. I have heard very good reports from family and friends about the pies and bar snacks. I have tried a number of dishes and they have been delicious.... More
