The Tuscan Kitchen is an intimate restaurant which specialises in Tuscan cuisine but also features food from other regions of Italy. The menu changes regularly and there is an extensive wine list to suit all tastes and budgets. Booking is advisable. A recent refurbishment means that we now have more seating overlooking our courtyard to accommodate larger groups. The Tuscan Kitchen was taken over by Lucy and Gerry Avena in September 2013.

We had a birthday meal with friends on a wet and windy night , lovely warm atmosphere and staff . The food was fantastic as well as the red wine from Puglia recommended by the waiter. Well worth a visit for a special occasion.

Had reserved a table for 6 as a surprise for my husbands birthday. From the minute we walked in the staff, food and service couldn't have been better. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone from the manager down really made an effort to make it a memorable evening. If your looking for authentic Tuscan food in a lovely environment... More

My wife and I had dinner there last Friday night. The service was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The food was authentic and delicious. It really was like being in Italy. We loved it. We opted to share three pasta dishes, prior to going to the nearby new cinema. This was a nice way... More

A lovely retreat on a wet Thursday in February - probably still best to book though. Lovely food and great service in a charming environment. Prices aren't particularly cheap but you get what you pay for and in this case it's definitely worth it. The freshly baked bread rolls were a bonus. Just wish I lived closer.

Could only get an early 1830 sitting on Saturday eve so were a bit concerned the restaurant wouldn't be busy - there were a few other occupied tables but as the room has lots of different small areas one isn't given the impression we were dining in the not so busy early part of the eve. Lovely glass of Prosecco... More

I took my mother for her birthday lunch. She had lovely homemade tagliatelle with Rye Bay scallops (not on the menu but recommended by the staff). I had Romney Marsh Lamb which was excellent! The bottle of wine recommended was delicious and good value. Charming service and made my mothers day very special.

Booked for a quiet meal for two. Great food, great service. What else would you want? Will certainly be going back for another visit.
