A very disappointing lunch today. Poor service, average food and a bit overpriced for the poor quality.
Not impressed, first table we sat at was covered with ants, should of walked out then, but moved to another that seemed ant free, until we were half way through our meal. Steak ok, a bit chewy, chips horrible, not really impressed.
went there on Saturday night , great food but disappointed to find the toilets were up stairs and if you have trouble with your mobility not a good point ,but food was hot and tasty
I was lucky enought to get to Rye in the scallop´s week. I had an early tasting that morning so I was decided to choose some restaurant that could offer a good dish. When I read the specials in the door I thought I had found the place. The price was higher than usual mains but still worth. They sounded... More

And the lovely Irish girl and young lad... More

The Irish girl at the Bar was very friendly and so was the eastern European waitress. We ordered "Marsh Lamb" (which... More
A cold January Monday evening in Rye, thank you for being open even though business was slow, we were made to feel welcome and our steaks were cooked as we asked. Extra point for staying open for us.
We had a lovely meal here. We both upgraded to a 'Surf & Turf' which was only an extra £2:50 worth every penny. Cooked just how we asked. Very friendly attentive staff. We will be back.
We arrived late in the evening but no problem for the staff who made us welcome. Can't really comment on the fish but the steaks were great, cooked just as we wanted and generous portions so you are not going to leave hungry. Service was really good; if they were irritated at customers turning up late in the evening when... More
