All so good

Started with the olives, tarama & breadsticks - nice share for two. Then the panache of fish (very fresh) with veg, a lovely plateful of so many different fish & seafood I lost count, all with perfect spinach, carrot, potato & plenty of saffron sauce. The Dover sole with shrimps was a good... read more

Great seafood both traditional or 'foodie'. The fish platter was delicious and the scallops cooked to perfection

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and they were very helpful in accommodating our requests. The restaurant is small with a nice ambience. The fish tasted very fresh and portion sizes were good. Would definitely like to visit again.

Ate here last Saturday to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The restaurant was full with a lively atmosphere verging on noisy due to a couple of large tables. The hastings crab starter was delicious, my husband had the liver pate which was average. I ordered the scallop main which was nice but the chive vermouth sauce a little bland. My... More

we have visited this place before and found the cooking both reliable and competent. it still is but we were concerned at their handling of freshness and attention to detail issues. I had the mussels and found that a number of them were inedible because they were dead before being prepared. some had cracked shells and should not have been... More

On arrival we were seated immediately and in a nice booth (I got a view of the kitchen, Mrs Harris got to look out at the other tables), and I enjoyed 3 oysters and a glass of fizz (which at £10 is pretty reasonable!). The shallot vinegar which came with the oysters (along with lemon and tabasco) was the star... More

We ate the tasting menu during the annual Rye Bay Scallop festival, it was excellent food and value, only let down by the impersonal service. Food was really well cooked and the whole menu nicely balanced. Service was a little impersonal with the food just plonked down, no explanation as to which course it was or the cooking, ingredients involved,... More

This restaurant came highly recommended by the owners of a local B & B. The food and service were outstanding. It was a busy night but the courses were served promptly and no long waits between them. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Recommend the tiger prawns and the beef sirloin!! A real treat!!!

Table for seven, every plate very well presented and some amazing tastes! Good selection of all courses, and extensive wine list. Book as they are rightly popular.
