Originally staying at Camber the Gallivant , we were advised to go to Webbe's Fish cafe for the great seafood as our restaurant was fully booked. At Webbe's we were met by the cheerful manager and more ignorant staff, which was quite disappointing... Ordering the starter Salmon Gravadlax, I was keen on seeing good presentation and the great tasty palette,... More

This restaurant is comfortable, the food is great, wine is good and the staff really helpful and happy. We went to Rye for my birthday and had a fantastic meal here. The fish was as fresh as you can get, the white wine we had was really cold and the waitresses attentive but not in your face. All in all... More

My husband and I (Ian Dennis) attended a catch of the day cooking experience. We had a great day from start to finish. Paul Webbe who ran the day was excellent. The food we prepared and cooked was of a high standard. We definitely learnt a lot on how to skin and fillet fish, make bread rolls , Rissotto.. just... More

Very accommodating to my changed time/numbers. Smiley prompt service. Good fish & decent wine-list. Full from 18:30 - make sure you book. Not cheap & no nibbles or bread offered gratis but would revisit.

Really great lunch and cod and chips the best I've had in a long time and a fish menu means a return in the near future to explore / taste further fish dishes. Excellent wine and desert as well. For my wife and I the bill came to exactly £50 but worth it. If I have one criticism and it's... More

We were a group of five expat Tenterdeners revisiting the area and heard that this fish restaurant had a good rep so we booked a Monday lunch. We were seated at a nice round table - always a favourite - Started off with a glass of prosecco and three oysters, which was a good start. Specials were turbot and Dover... More

Attended the restaurant on Wednesday evening, warm welcome, helpful, knowledgable staff provided excellent service. Food was well cooked, attractively presented and tasty. If there is anything you do not like let the staff know and they are happy if possible to find you an alternative. The Tonka bean pancotta was great and well worth a try. Not the cheapest but money...
