Lynsey, we took often go to Bill's restaurant when we visit my brother. The town is intesting and not the boriing typical high street.

What a fabulous, vibrant, fun & delicious place. Great menu from breakfast till late. Fresh, supper ingredients. We shared a Mezze platter and chicken in a pot with sourdough a perfect casual lunch which made a dull day bright :)

Such a big thankyou to the chef at Bill's Lewes who created this amazing strawberry icecream. It was my birthday and I fancied a peach melba but it was not on the menu. So I asked if I could have strawberries, icecream, cream and sauce. And this gorgeous flute of deliciousness came topped with glazed strawberries, a mint leaf and... More

I feel sad to see a few dodgy comments on here about Bills in Lewes. I love this restaurant and it's always been so good when I have visited! I went last night to meet a friend after work and it was lovely! I had the tomato and basil risotto with goats cheese and my friend have the bacon and... More

Don't expect a traditional English restaurant, Bill's is more of an open-plan bistro, with a very relaxed atmosphere that tends to be very noisy at lunch time. Portions are less than generous and very pricey. Location is good with ample parking nearby

We love eating a late breakfast here and we have found the service to be very good and friendly. the staff may err on the side of casual but that is part of the whole relaxing experience. I love the scrambled eggs with Salmon but the Eggs Florentine is just as delicious and my family tell me that the English... More

I remember returning from living in Sydney in 2002 and discovering Bills (actually the Brighton one, the second one to open) and ringing my wife in wild excitement, exclaiming we had our own Palaggios on our doorstep! (Palaggios being an amazing deli/cafe/foodie paradise near to where we had lived in Darlinghurst). I then discovered that Bills had been born in... More

We had tea and scones here twice. Service was generally very good and considering how busy Bill's was it was actually very good. The scones were heated (nice touch), we had plenty of strawberry jam (locally produced) and the pot of tea was quite generous.
