Ranked #6 of 236 Restaurants in Hastings
Certificate of Excellence 2014
Cuisines: Steakhouse
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Lunch, Reservations, Late Night
Description: A large and airy dining room in this beautiful former landmark pub with an open kitchen and very informal service is a great place to relax and enjoy a good steak. You can see the dry aging beef on display and you can see the genuine charcoal grill at work on your steak. This is definitely not fine dining but what you do get is rustic, simple, homemade food with strong natural flavours.

My husband and I visited on Saturday and were greeted by the friendly owner who showed us to our table which was on the first floor with great views. The staff were very helpful, as this was our first visit our waitress helped us to choose our steaks which were cooked to perfection with lots of salad and chips. Lovely... More

Great restaurant if you're a meat lover! Excellent choice of delicious steaks and some lighter bites too. The steak satay was really nice the last time we went, when we couldn't manage a full steak.

We had a table booked for 8.30 on a Saturday night. The place was busy with what seemed like local young couples. I had a 12oz fillet steak and my date had a sirloin, both were really tasty and well cooked. They came with a generous portion of chunky chips and fresh salad. The staff and the owner were nice/friendly/efficient... More

Generous portions of salad, chips and the steak was so good. Really friendly service from staff, who were working very hard and on the go all the time to ensure things were running smoothly. They even arranged a taxi for us, which was nice. Definitely recommend if your love your steaks as up there with the best I've been to... More

Went here on a Saturday night as it was recommended by our B&B whilst visiting the area. It's located in the Old Town so it's quite a way from the main Prom where we were staying but it was well worth the trip. We both ordered the aged steak which arrived quite quickly and was perfectly cooked, we both asked... More

We found this steakhouse through the good reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed! We ordered a fillet and a sirloin steak with side order of mushrooms. The meal came with chunky chips and a dressed salad, all of which were utterly delicious. My husband was full but was still tempted by the quarter pint of Guinness choc pot... More

Wanted to come back here since I came once for a work leaving meal a few months back, tempted by lunch menu as it was good value plus they had a children's menu, for children under 10 years. Good job we booked otherwise we probably would not have got a table for 3. Initially the service was good and quick,... More

We went into the Restaurant at 1.00pm on Sunday, and even though we did not have a booking they may room for the four of us to have lunch. We all had the steak burgers which were really tasty, very tender and perfectly cooked. The Chunky Chips were amazing and the plain green salad perfect to finish of a great... More

We went to the Two Bulls for a special occasion. We pass it every day and always meant to come in. It wasn't a dissapointment, but also, not the best either. My husbands rib eye was lovely, but my filet was chewy. It was a nice meal, but I think the prices bring the marks down. Top notch prices but... More
