Started with the bread and olive oil and the foccaccia with tomatoes. Soft shop bought bread and undercooked everything else. Pizza that was sloppy and average. Meatballs and pasta that needed a chainsaw. Very little flavour but edible. The meatballs were like eating kangeroo bollocks raw but I'm sure testicle have more taste and softer! The only upside is the... More

Went for Valentine's lunch. Weather was foul but make the journey anyway. The restaurant was very cold and unwelcoming. No effort had been made to decorate for the lunch time clients. They were starting to get ready for the evening event whilst we were there. Food was OK but nothing special. Finished our meal and went elsewhere for coffee so... More

On a horrible winter's day we visited Hastings in an abortive effort to see the Jerwood Gallery - our fault, it was closed: we should have believed the website. Maybe it was just the weather, but we were deeply unimpressed by Hastings: dirty, tawdry and unwelcoming, and what claimed to be galleries weren't: just outlets for single artists whose work... More

This again is a place we have walked by and thought 'must go in.' Today we did and will go again. The room is handsome, the waiter was on the ball, professional and attentive. The house white wine was excellent and went perfectly with what we had. Soup, bruschetta with dolcelatte, chicken and lemon sorbet. All well cooked and presented... More

Come here with my husband regularly (perhaps too regularly, oops!) and we've always had a lovely welcome, and enjoyed everything that we've eaten here. Would recommend it! (Especially the Scampi Thermidor. Yum!)

Haven't been for a while. Went last Thursday, the place was nice and busy and the food & service were excellent. Had the great value set lunch for £6.95 which in my opinion was worth a lot more. The lady serving us was professional, polite and friendly, she should be there more often! Well Trattoria, keep it up!

A friend my restaurant with excellent food. I love the saltimbocca Romans and my husband loves the prawns with chilli starter. They also have a restaurant opposite the De la Ward in Bexhill. Great place for pizza. They always look after my children when we have lunch. Off there next week for my birthday.

Visited with friends. Best to book a table in advance. Friendly welcome & staff. Very good service. Food very good too. We would have stayed longer, but didn't want to miss the show.

My wife and I tend to be creatures of habit and depending on what we feel like we always go to the same restaurant. Today my wife fancied Italian food but our normal place looked busy. Lost count of how many times we have walked past Trattoria Italiana and said we must try it... and today we did and we... More
