Best fish and chips in hastings

What you expect from a fish and chip shop, good quality cod and chips freshly prepared while you wait. Friendly staff!! We would go back.

Expect queues at the take away side door but well worth it.. Heard big things about this fish and chip shop and it didn't disappoint.. Massive portions, very fresh fish and chips fried to the point of excellence.. More of a traditional take away chippy served in wrapped paper than a sit down place, just eat on the sea front... Just had one of the best fish (haddock) and chips lunch that I've eaten for ages. Lovely light batter, very fresh fish and a plate full of golden chips - couldn't eat it all there was so much on the plate. Lovely and hot food too! Beautiful sunny day so sat outside in the warm Spring sunshine. Thanks Blue Dolphin!

What a disappointment as both portions of fish were thin, overcooked, thin and with a texture suspiciously unlike anything one normally associates with cod, and an inedible disappointment. The chips were OK though.

I've been a regular at the Blue Dolphin, but the last time I went the batter on the fish was not particularly good. It was not crisp nor did it taste particularly great. It is the first occasion I did not eat the batter at all! (Now that's a first!) The batter used to be excellent. The chips however as... More

Living on old reputation from some time ago. There are better F&C to be had in the Old Town. Try lose the beating lake next to the hub.

I just love coming here, the fish and chips are always good and the staff are lovely. Never any bones in fish or grease on plate unlike some of the more expensive restaurants.

The tastiest fish and chips for miles around, with good sized portions. The service in the dolphin is very good, i've never waited more than a few minutes.
