Really helpful staff seated 8 of us outside in the sun, and waited on us so well, great banter even though very busy, Saturday in July. Sea front location of this small but excellent restaurant. Been many times over many years , still the best there is on this sea front.Great fish and chips.

Decided to eat here as there was a queue outside waiting to be served for a takeaway. We sat outside and it felt like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds due to the amount of Seagulls watching our every move! Within minutes of our order being taken our food arrived freshly cooked and piping hot, it smelt sooooo good... More

This chippie gets long queues because of its position on the cnr of George & High Sts. Unfortunately you often get drunken people jumping the 10+ long queue. Even if you complain to staff they couldn't care less. The food has gone downhill too - you may as well pay less and pop to any of the nearby chippies. One... More

Lovely fresh fish , big portions , and lots of choice. I've been going here for years, and have always enjoyed its lovely fish, meals . Don't know if it's changed hands , but it's not quite the same atmosphere anymore, but food is very good

When I was younger, about 20 years ago, we would always go here for our fish and chips and they were great. For the last 3 years I have been eating in another fish and chip shop along rock a nore but due to not booking in advance, we decided to eat back at the Blue dolphin. What shocked me... More

I spotted a pregnant lady who was walking with her wee boy on the prom and asked if she lived in Hastings...she did, so I then asked her to tell me where to go for fish and chips and she sent us here ! It is just off the old town near the Crazy Golf. 5 of us sat outside... More

Used to be a very nice Fish & Chips,. Only had 2 portions of Chips, but they were awful & we ended up putting them in the bin after we had only eaten a couple...They were greasy & tasted like the oil they had been cooked in needed changing...Definately wont be recommending to anyone & wont be returning Much better... The only chip shop that has quality and crockery and you can sit outside with table service and reasonable prices. A family friendly atmosphere by the sea, a repet visit

If you like nicely cooked fresh seafood without the pricetag then this is the place for you - just opposite the fishing fleet

Found this through TripAdvisor when faced with a row of food outlets opposite the crazy golf, many of which looked less than pleasant. Would definitely recommend this one though, food was served quickly (there was a queue, always a good sign) and was freshly cooked. Would have been nice to have a veggie option (burger or pasty) but no real... More
