Hot and fresh even tho we were on a hobbit table ! Can't fault the food but can bloody fault the £1.40 for a can of "Pop" !! Be nice to have proper tartare sauce not some sachet one that was like water !

Been going here since a work collegue told me about the fish and chips. She is Italian!!! Always a queue for the food but what a joy. Not dripping with oil, just good old fashioned Fish and Chips. If you ever come to Hastings you have to try here. Yum yum

This has become our new family favourite since our old favourite Plato's has closed and under new management. Real potatoes for chips wonderful, non of your frozen rubbish. Service is a bit to be desired ,hopefully they will work on this.Fish not bad again something to perfect. Chips are the main favourite.

Whenever I visit friends in Hastings I always try to build in a trip to the takeaway at the Blue Dolphin. Once again this weekend I had delicious fresh fish and chips. I would definitely recommend as the "plaice" to go for a seaside treat!

... other restaurants. Even this humble seaside fish and chip restaurant can create great tasting, crunchy, fish n chips with nicely served pickles and mushy peas, a mug of great tasting tea and with what I can honestly say was the best service I have had in any restaurant for a very long time. All this for around £8 a... More

Went here because the slightly more highly rated Maggie's was closed (winter opening hours). Service from the young female server was warm, friendly and efficient. The place has a proper old seaside feel about it. Food however was disappointing. Scampi wasn't as good as it should be so close to the sea... and batter wasn't great. Portion size was generous... Looked up the best Fish and Chip shops in Hastings and this was one of top ones so we gave it a go and weren't disappointed! There wasn't a great deal of people in there but the service was great and very fast and the food was very nice. Would recommend highly!

Under new management, Blue Dolphin still has delicious food. However I am disappointed that the previous waitresses were not present at my recent visit, instead replaced with staff that were not as friendly or as eager to help. The whole kitchen now seems to look like a social club with the amount staff present. If you do visit Blue Dolphin... More
