A family member who is a carer for an old folks home invited us on a coach trip day out to Hastings - we jumped at the chance knowing that a fish and chip lunch would be available and we always visit the Blue Dolphin when in Hastings. Excellent!!! Fast service but all fish cooked fresh and to order which... More

While Alan was wrong about Man U all those years ago we were surprised to find a number of youngsters working the fryers on Friday evening and they weren't great. To take away and eat fish and chips by the harbour arm will always be fantastic. This time the chips weren't properly double fried and some only just cooked rather... More

Great place, at the risk of a heart attack we went twice in three days and would have gone again if we were around longer. It really was like the old style fish and chips I enjoyed as a kid when i lived in Hastings. Huge portions with tasty flaky cod, prefect. Massive portions of chips cooked to perfection. Food... More

The best fish and chips in Hastings Old Town, and the staff are so friendly too. Not very big inside and the queue for takeaways goes on for ever..... It's well worth the wait. The fish is so white and the chips nice and crunchy. Well done Blue Dolphin.

Really helpful staff seated 8 of us outside in the sun, and waited on us so well, great banter even though very busy, Saturday in July. Sea front location of this small but excellent restaurant. Been many times over many years , still the best there is on this sea front.Great fish and chips.

Decided to eat here as there was a queue outside waiting to be served for a takeaway. We sat outside and it felt like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds due to the amount of Seagulls watching our every move! Within minutes of our order being taken our food arrived freshly cooked and piping hot, it smelt sooooo good... More

This chippie gets long queues because of its position on the cnr of George & High Sts. Unfortunately you often get drunken people jumping the 10+ long queue. Even if you complain to staff they couldn't care less. The food has gone downhill too - you may as well pay less and pop to any of the nearby chippies. One... More

When I was younger, about 20 years ago, we would always go here for our fish and chips and they were great. For the last 3 years I have been eating in another fish and chip shop along rock a nore but due to not booking in advance, we decided to eat back at the Blue dolphin. What shocked me... More
