5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2014 NEW

Went here with my wife for a romantic birthday lunch and was not disappointed. There was an interesting and varied pre Christmas lunch menu on offer for £22 which seemed very good value for money...three courses plus coffee and mince pie. I was tempted but we decided to go a la carte and both had Dover Sole served with mussels... More

I have to say that webbe's restaurant takes some beating when it comes to the quality of the food. A group of friends and I chose the Christmas menu and it was superb. From the varied choices on offer to the presentation, the flavours and the service was second to none. By far the best place to eat in Hastings... More

We stopped in for lunch before visiting Herwood Gallery - so impressed by the food and service, perfect - had the hake with chorizo potatoes, and the sea bass, great size and perfectly balanced - we were seated by the window so had a warm sunset view

The restaurant is in the Old Town of Hastings, and though not large is comfortable and allows viewing of the open kitchen. It is principally a fish restaurant though there are limited alternatives. The food is well presented and good value for money. It is worth leaving space for dessert.

The food was amazing. We had oysters, two of the 'taster' dishes -which we thought was great idea. Small portions of a range of dishes that you can try. For main course I had the panache of fish (lovely) and my husband had Dover sole which he said was amazing. We opted for an English sparkling wine instead of champagne,... More

Webbes was recommended to us by the Hastings House Innkeeper, Seng. After a long day on the road, along with automobile tire trouble, we were ready for an early dinner and bed. We arrived at Webbes a short while before opening time. The hostess greeted and sat us, provided us with menus, and took our drink order. We were able... More

the meal was nice but disappointed with the menu, if you like garlic or sauces over everything you are in luck. all we had was fish and chips which was an average size i had the steak and chips , i had to order a salad which cost extra. deserts were lovely.

The food was good but if you are not a tourist sitting outside in the summer the interior layout and and decor is really lacking imagination or flair. A shame because the food is prepared with care but we like somewhere with a ambiance.
