Upmarket fish and chips

A little bit more money for fish and chips on Hastings sea front, but worth it for the good seats and service.

Enjoyed Easter Sunday Lunch at Webbes, a warm welcome followed by drinks and menus was a great introduction. Having just walked around the fishing quarter at The Stade I was certainly ready to enjoy some seafood, the menu has so many wonderful dishes to choose from, and whilst we were choosing ordered a glass of sparkling Rose and 3 oysters... Went here with my family for Sunday lunch. Lots of choice on the menu.. Kids menu was really good too. Food was delicious .. i was in heaven. .. tasted amazing. Does cost a little more than the usual places but its more upmarket and well looked after.| Nice and clean and staff friendly too.

As befits such a well positioned establishment, seafood was a real strength of our recent meal here. We began with a shellfish platter for two which was reasonable £26 and consisted of crevettes, oysters, prawns, winkles, whelks and crab claws - for lesser appetites this would have been quite sufficient but we ploughed on into our main courses of Dover... Oh my goodness, that was an amazing meal, i wasn't expecting anything special as i was on my own but the service was really nice, the squid fritters unusual, the scallops stunning and the pudding was to die for. The kind of chocolate plus salted caramel that i dream of but never find..... I will be back!!!

Went to Hastings on Easter Saturday on a whim and were planning to just have fish and chips by the sea. Swayed by the menu outside, we went in and expectations were more than met. Great service, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, from the delicious and stuffed-full-of-shellfish bouillabaisse to start to the 5 tapas dishes we had to follow.... More

Those of you who have contributed reviews to TripAdvisor will know that a box appears that says “Is this one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant?” I don’t think I’ve ever ticked this box before in all my 50 or so reviews. But I did for this restaurant. A party of five of us visited on... More

Booked for my parents' 46th wedding anniversary. I've been looking for an excuse to visit this place, so it's been booked for a while (being Easter Sunday). We arrived just on time, greeted at the door and shown to our table (high chair in situ). The restaurant isn't big so space is at a premium, but you don't feel squashed... More

I had taken my nephew and his girlfriend for their first visit to the south coast and we went here for lunch. We didn't have a booking but they were able to accommodate us. The fish was so fresh and delicious. Yes it is a bit pricey but so tasty and the staff were delightful makes it all worth it.
