You won't get fresher fish than this

We've been to this restaurant a few times now and to be frank I'm still not sure what to make of it. The menu is predominantly fish, which as it's only a hundred yards or so from the beach is not surprising. Hastings, I'm told, is the biggest beach-based fishing port in Europe, so this is the town... read more

Unpretentious but comfortable restaurant at the quaint end of Hastings with friendly and welcoming staff. Open kitchen with views enhanced by CCTV cameras and monitors to see the chefs at work. First class fish and seafood at surprisingly sensible prices (under £80 for 2 including drinks). We chose crab with Granny Smith and apple jelly and monkfish carpaccio to start,... More

We picked this based on the really good reviews on here. Two days later we still have awful tummy aches having eaten here on Saturday. We both had fried cod and chips - the batter was hard and coated in oil to the extent that there was excess oil pooling on the plate. I am generally not in the practice... More

We stopped by this restaurant on the way browsing the old town. We ordered seafood platter and stewed lamb shank. The seafood was fresh but had lots of sand and also a piece of seaweed on the plate as it wasn't washed before cooking. Lamb shank was old and tasteless, served with funny taste mint sauce. It was a big... More

Had dinner here with a friend on a Sunday evening. The food was really good and the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful without ever being overbearing.

Usually need to book in advance as gets busy. Staff are friendly without being to in your face. Have been many times & food is consistently good. Don't expect a cheap meal out here though, you get what you pay for

The views are stunning, looking out to sea... And the food was that bad either! Quite pricey but that reflected the great food!
