This is a welcoming place with good service. The cakes are good and so was my lunch: sweet potato and peanut tart served with an interesting salad. The range of vegan food is limited but lots of veggie stuff. This may be a charitable venture being an autistic project but the food is good and so is the service putting... More

On a bleak rainy day we found Cafe des Arts for an afternoon drink. We were not tempted by the scrummy cakes but the tea and coffee was very welcome. The service was cheerful and quick. The old arm chairs gave us a really comfortable respite and we could recommend this as good cafe which supports the autistic charity.

Cafe des Arts has to be an all time favourite that blends into your weekly life. From the leather studded high chairs to the nonchalant way you can have a read of the newspapers, busy yourself on your laptop, or banter with Corrina about Debbie's amazing cakes. Try and catch them fresh out of the oven.. heaven! Home made food... More

We have been in and out of here for a few years now. Always smiley happy faces of the lovely special waiters and waitresses. Massive and gorgeous fresh home-made cake selection always available, as well as breakfast and light lunches. Drinks are all lovely too. And, as an added bonus, the walls are laden with art from local artists -... More

Popped in here today and it was as good as our last visit, the staff are friendly, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is great. The only slightly negative is that the menu's used to be on the tables whereas now the staff bring them to you, this is fine unless you go in and they don't notice. But... More

The Cafe des Arts was just steps away from the Printworks B&B where we were staying. We stumbled in looking for lunch and were not disappointed. The staff are part of a training scheme for autistic people which was a lovely touch. They were professional and efficient. The food was homemade and really nice. My partner had the carrot and... Went to Café des Arts on Saturday and had a Toastie for the Lady and a chicken bacon sandwich pour moi. Plus a pot of Earl Grey. The service, the food and atmosphere were excellent. This is THE place to have lunch in Hastings as it's also for a good cause. (An EXTRA reason to go there) The only bummer... More

Popped in here with my wife and Daughter for a quick cuppa and ended up ordering tea sandwiches and cakes. Their cakes are to die for!!!!! Very friendly little place, great place to chill and people watch or read a paper. I’ve been in Café Des Arts a number of times now, slowly working my way through the cake selection,... More
