Took my mum here for a belated mothers day treat and was blown away. The decor is simple and tasteful, good art - so rare in restaurants! Excellent music - little bit of soul played at the right volume charming waiter who appeared just when we needed him and made us laugh. No sniffiness about us sharing a starter - just... More

We were staying over night in the area and were so pleased we chose St Clements. Small and intimate with great atmosphere. Food excellent along with very efficient and friendly service.

If you're in St. Leonards, you can't do better than St. Clement's if you want fine food. The ambience is relaxed and the service is friendly and attentive, but it's the food that you go there for. We went for their set lunch (2 courses for £15). Our starter was a pork and chicken liver terrine wrapped in bacon and... More

First time I had been to St Clements, & what a wonderful discovery! Certainly the best meal I've had in this immediate area. I love fish, a had plenty to choose from, every mouthful was delicious & a joy!! I often miss out on puddings as nothing I like, here I was spoilt for choice! Just spent a lovely Easter Sunday having a lazy lunch in St Clements. The choice of dishes is great, beautifully presented, and very tasty. The staff are friendly and the vibe is relaxed. Good value for money - can't wait to go back and sample some if the other dishes!

Ate here on 31st March I had the 3 course set menu and my partner a main course. We shared starter and desert. Food and service was excellent and the house wine great value. Total bill less than £60.

Our relatives knew St. Clement's, and introduced us to a buzzing, inviting little place. We had two courses and wine, served with panache but no unnecessary fuss. The waiter dealt calmly and cheerfully with my ignorance of the cocktails, and my last-minute change of mind for main course, suggesting a change of wine to suit. Although busy, they allowed us... Excellent food, wine and service. The only criticism is the menu has only been tweaked rather than changed in the 8 years we have been going. We'd defiantly go more frequently if the menu changed more dramatically.
