Still the best in St Leonard on Sea and Hastings

Actually the best within a 20 mile radius. We've eaten here at least a dozen times and it always impresses with the quality of the ingredients - locally sourced, the sophistication of the cooking, the generosity of the portions, a great wine list at very sensible prices etc. etc. so yesterday's... read more

I think we arrived on a bad weekend. Service was poor but the food was excellent. Decided to go back next day and only to be told Brunch was off because they had had a busy night. They were due to serve lunch an hour later couldn't see it happening. The food is very good but service needs looking at.

I went to lunch with 2 friends from London and they were impressed by the menu. Lovely meal, great food, local lamb, local fresh fish, excellent house white and very decent coffee, I think this is now my favourite place to eat in St Leonards and Hastings..very pleasant restaurant.

The food was really amazing in this unassuming ,small restaurant . Would definitely eat here again . The only issue I have is the ambiance I think it's time for an overhaul decent lighting and a revamped decor would make all the difference . It lacks that certain something to make it stand out .

The service was amazing. The wine was amazing, and the food to die for. My partner and I ate the yummy fillets of fish with fennel salad with olives and new potatoes. I inhaled mine in about 5 minutes, it was so delicious. Full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Would do it all over again !

Having read good reviews about St Clements I was pleased to be able to visit, we booked an early Saturday evening table and were welcomed into a nice atmospheric restaurant. With a glass of local sparkling Biddendon Rose and delicious bread we made our choice, king Prawns to start and Thai inspired Bream, both were very fresh and flavourful. The... More

Took my mum here for a belated mothers day treat and was blown away. The decor is simple and tasteful, good art - so rare in restaurants! Excellent music - little bit of soul played at the right volume charming waiter who appeared just when we needed him and made us laugh. No sniffiness about us sharing a starter - just... More

If you're in St. Leonards, you can't do better than St. Clement's if you want fine food. The ambience is relaxed and the service is friendly and attentive, but it's the food that you go there for. We went for their set lunch (2 courses for £15). Our starter was a pork and chicken liver terrine wrapped in bacon and... More
