A friendly, welcoming, lovely place to eat. We came here with friends on Saturday night. The lady who served us certainly new her stuff recommending which wine and answering questions on the menu. At no point were we rushed with the courses, the food was superb, we felt relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. So much so we didn't leave until... More

Great lunch, relaxed atmosphere, good value restaurant. Three courses for under 30 quid and I couldn't fault a single thing but the sticky toffee pudding was a particular highlight. I will definitely be returning. TOP TIP: BOOK IN ADVANCE. It is a small restaurant and was fully booked for our visit.

The food and wine menu is extensive with plenty of ineresting seafood options as well as other choices. Wine can be bought in pichets which means you can share and try different wines. It is quite expensive and service was slow at times, mainly due to the restaurants popularity. They could use one more on the floor, perhaps who knows... More

We had a very delicious meal at the St.Clements, accompanied with a lovely bottle of whit (NZ Albarinho). The taste and quality of the ingredients used were all good and the presentation great. The staff were friendly without being obsequious

Looking at the reviews we decided on st clements. It all started very well until the food arrived. I was gobsmacked on the size of the portions absolutely tiny. Not the cheapest place by far but has got to be one of the meanest. 20 to 30% cheaper then would return. Sorry

This restaurant manages to combine two things - really good food and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. It felt really nice and welcoming. The food was very impressive. We started with grilled squid - lovely and fresh, cooked just right, and you could taste the chargrilling (often you can't). Followed that with a fish stew that was simply delicious - lovely... Amazing food, excellent service and lovely ambience. The best restaurant I've visited in Hastings/St Leonards. Went here for a birthday meal with 9 family members and definitely wasn't disappointed.
