Bardsley's is a favourite in Brighton with a long heritage. The quality of the ingredients and the skill and dedicate show in the staff. They are friendly, approachable and genuine. The owner, Roy, tempted me with a Bardsley special, the Herby Battered Sausage. This is divine and I've introduced my friends and co to this pieces of genius. He did... More

Visiting Brighton for the day yesterday with family we thought it would be nice to have some fish and chips whilst by the seaside. Since moving down south from Yorkshire I've invariably found the fish and chips to be a poor substitute from what we had up north. For this reason I've more often than not just not bothered with... Considering we live by the seaside it is really difficult to get good fish & chips in Brighton. We tried several terrible places until we came across Bardsley's, and I am so glad we did! The fish was so fresh and the batter crispy and light. The chips weren't too greasy and the portions great. I have never eaten in... More

Fish and Chips in the South East isn't cheap. This place is probably at the top end of what you'd expect to pay for a fairly small haddock and chips. That said, the food is nice. It's no better than many, but the chances are you won't be disappointed. Good service and nice people.

I love this fish and chip shop, they do it so well and are friendly to boot! great place for a lovely sit down fish and chips meal, and they will do the fish any way you like, deep fry, grill, poach - just great! great as a family eatery or for a nice meal out with your loved one.

If you like fish and chips or even if you don't like fish and chips if you come to Brighton Bardsleys is a must. It isn't posh, it isn't in the heart of Brighton but when you get there you will have the best fish and chips ever. Not only do they fry, they grill and steam as well. And... More

Very friendly. Fantastic food. The Haddock and plaice are firm favourites. Always a good bit of banter too. Love love love Bardsleys.. a Brighton institution and rightly so.

This fish & chips tasted so good I wanted to sew my mouth shut. Had the cod. Was like Chritmas in my mouth. Chips were tender and tasteful with a splash of vinegar. Simple food prepared with love. Well done. highly recommended
