Fantastic Food and Service

We arrived around eight - the restaurant was reasonably full and with a nice atmosphere. The service was quick but not overbearing and always with a smile! We've been to Bardsley's before and as always the food was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

They have a secret family recipe for their crispy delicious batter. Good choice of fish. Huge portions. Ask for child's portion only difference is less chips! Take away is less costly but secret is get chips wrapped separately otherwise the batter goes soggy and sweats. Highly recommended. Closed Sunday and Monday.

You are spoilt for choice in Brighton when it comes to Fish and Chips. Whilst this place is a decent walk from the water front, it's worth the distance. The quality is top notch, the staff are lovely and it has so much history. Perfect place to take a break and eat some amazing fish and chips. I'll be honest... More

Best fish and chip restaurant in Brighton, Roy and his team are welcoming and very friendly. The food is excellent and always fresh and tasty. I cannot fault Bardsleys at all, they cater for dietary needs too. So good my partner and I go back time and time again

Had a great meal arriving here on Saturday night just before closing. Very friendly service and the owner is a real character. Food was very good, particularly the swordfish. Would highly recommend.

Very pleasantly surprised at the choice of fresh fish, scallops from the Shetland Isles, Scottish Salmon and Swordfish. The scallops were excellent as was the Haddock and Salmon. We asked for lightly battered Haddock but it was a little overdone. The chips excellent. Overall a good experience with smiling helpful staff and an owner with a good sense of humour.

It's a little out of the city centre, but well worth the walk. We arrived on a sunny day after a long walk at about 6pm and were really lucky to get their last table. The service was great: well organised and very friendly. We felt so welcome from the moment we stepped inside. The fish was amazing! A light... More

Worth the hike from the seaside, which actually passes some charming markets and shops. While I can't compare the fish and chips with other places in Brighton to determine if it's really the best, I can definitely say the cod is cooked to battered perfection. Nice place, thank you www. !
