Monster fish....

Our first visit here, we would've eaten in had the day not of been so hot but opted for a take away. We asked for the 'medium' portion of fish and it was huge! Lucky we were hungry so we made short work of it. Very nice fish, cooked for once with the skin on which made a nice change.... read more

I just don't understand how this chippy gets such good reviews. Having been disappointed by Bardsley's twice over the last ten years, I recently found myself in Baker Street and feeling hungry so thought I'd try it again. Unfortunately nothing had changed. Ordering a large cod with large chips, the chips were soggy and the portion (for a "large") rather... More

We decided to visit this restaurant after reading other reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! The staff were so friendly and the food was lovely. On leaving we were all given a postcard of the restaurant and our 3 daughters were given a bag of pick a mix each! We would thoroughly recommend visiting here if in the... More

First of all, there was proper vegetarian options. Rare in my experience in chippys and I was chuffed to have a choice other than chips. Kids loved their meals, husband loved his fish. A little over priced for fish and chips but worth it in my opinion for the friendly service, speed of food and choices.

We went to Brighton for a day out and, of course, wanted to have some local fish and chips. A quick internet search shows this place as being very good so we followed the directions and were very pleased to find a clean and welcoming place where we could sit in to eat. Given that it was the Pride festival... More

4 of us visited on a weekday evening for a takeout. There was a choice in fish and different size options, as well as other non-fish options. The fish was cooked to order and with restaurant customers waiting for their food, we had a 15 minute wait. It was all very tasty though. Just think £9 for a fish, chips... More

We arrived around eight - the restaurant was reasonably full and with a nice atmosphere. The service was quick but not overbearing and always with a smile! We've been to Bardsley's before and as always the food was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

They have a secret family recipe for their crispy delicious batter. Good choice of fish. Huge portions. Ask for child's portion only difference is less chips! Take away is less costly but secret is get chips wrapped separately otherwise the batter goes soggy and sweats. Highly recommended. Closed Sunday and Monday.

You are spoilt for choice in Brighton when it comes to Fish and Chips. Whilst this place is a decent walk from the water front, it's worth the distance. The quality is top notch, the staff are lovely and it has so much history. Perfect place to take a break and eat some amazing fish and chips. I'll be honest... More

Best fish and chip restaurant in Brighton, Roy and his team are welcoming and very friendly. The food is excellent and always fresh and tasty. I cannot fault Bardsleys at all, they cater for dietary needs too. So good my partner and I go back time and time again
