We hadn't booked, Nigel kindly phoned me when a table became available. The seating arrangements are quirky and really work. The atmosphere is vibrant and the décor uncomplicated. Our server was Calina, there is somebody who loves there job, such a joy to be looked after by her. The food, where do you start! We had a mix of some... More

Our meal in the seafront restaurant didn't disappoint in terms of the high quality of the seafood. Our starters of rock oysters and mussels were excellent. My partner had the fish of the day (lemon sole) which was extremely fresh (if lacking in any extras other than a bit of salad garnish), whilst I had the sea bass with cauliflower,... More

Had an exceptional meal at the seafront restaurant, Riddle and Finns. The restaurant is housed within an arch right on the seafront. It is lovely inside with well judged dim lighting and rustic themed decor. It oozes effortless class, perfect for a date and in no way snobby. The menu reads exceptionally well. Every possible seafood dish I could think... More

Our first floor, window table overlooking the sea was a great place for lunch on a wild and windy Saturday in January. We were immediately welcomed by the charming maître d' and service throughout was great. My pan fried fillet of sea bass with cauliflower puree, roast pumpkin, grilled langoustine, steamed kale and crustacea sauce was okay, albeit that the... More

After a nice weekend in Brighton we had the fish and chips cravings and stumbled upon the Riddle and Fins 2, which is on the beachfront. There is a really nice upstairs where you can enjoy a perfect view of the stunning sunset (whenever you get that in south England). We had oysters, and they offered 4 different varieties, excellent.... More

I took my brother for a trip to Brighton Lanes between Christmas and New Year. ( He lives in Gloucestershire) After we explored the area we were just about to walk up North Street to the main shopping area when we discovered the Riddle and Finns. The chalk board caught our eye for a set menu which was reasonably priced... More

This is my favourite restaurant in Brighton. Whilst it serves delicious fresh food, it isn't necessary to spend a fortune to have a really good quality meal that doesn't have to cost the earth. The waiting staff are very professional and know their menu. The atmosphere is informal. You can't book in advance here but put your name down on... More

If you want fast food, then go to McDonalds. All the food is cooked to order. You cannot book a table so if you want to guarantee a seat get there early. If it's full they will take your mobile number and off you go into the Lanes and have a cocktail or two and then you'll receive a text... More

Just the most amazing meal. We went for the most dramatic meals and were not disappointed. The staff were just wonderful and even though we had to wait on the waiting list for 2 hours it was SO worth it!
