I was in Brighton for a week and a friend mentioned he had heard of Riddle and we fancied fish so we gave it a try. On a Tuesday. Sole, Bream, Fish Cakes, Scallops. Wonderful. Well, the sea IS right there. So, I was went back on Wednesday to be sure. Then Thursday, twice on Friday, Saturday, and twice on... More

i have had the pleasure of eating at Riddle and fins many times over the years. The one in the lanes is small and has a great buzz to it. The one on the beach you can just sit and watch the world go bye enjoying fresh sea food and ice cold drinks. Yes it can be a bit pricey... More

Been here several times now and on each occasion its been superb, the choice of dishes, the quality and service have always been 1st class, price wise its certainly not cheap but equally its not deadly and they have great set menu deals, I cant recommend it highly enough.

Riddle & Finns have two restaurants in Brighton. The other is at 12 Meeting House Lane. Ours was a party of 8 for dinner celebrating a birthday. This restaurant is tucked into one of the arches at beach level under Kings Road, opposite the Grand Hotel on the Brighton corniche. Nice cosy ambiance on two levels. The kitchen was open... More

I love this place, especially the one on the seafront. Riddle and Finns is always my fallback and I have eaten my way through most of the menu and never had a bad dish. I highly recommend the surf n turf, lobster salad and the smoked haddock. The mackerel pate they give you when you sit down is fabulous. The... More

Food was excellent, but the service was a little lacking.....we had to ask many times for a number of items, which is crazy as we wanted to spend money! Lovely beach front setting.

Was really looking forward to eating here as I love fish and it's so hard to find a decent one! We went late afternoon so fairly quiet. We went to the one in the lanes where you have to sit side by side - ridiculous!! Luckily not busy enough to have someone share our table. Other tables were given bread... More

Recently visited Brighton for the day - after many hours wandering around we decided to stay a little longer and have dinner. The weather was really pleasant and we were able to eat outside. I have to say that the fish was truly beautiful, I had plump scallops to start, followed by sea bream - the meal was delicious, the... More
