Love the place...

I've heard so much about this restaurant that I could not wait to try it for myself and it totally excelled in every way possible. We went to the beach venue around 6pm on a lovely sunny Friday and were offered a table upstairs next to the wonderful seaviews with the open windows. The waitress was... read more

So disappointing. A wrong starter. A very thin piece of dry, overcooked fish folded in two and served as halibut. Fish cake which could have been Tesco Value range. Three gross failures in a two course meal for five.

NB no reservations. Loyalty card if you spend £50 or more which is easily done if ordering a la carte. However the trick is to go for the fabulous two course lunch/early dinner (don't bother with dessert) BEFORE 19.00. Staff knowłedge and ultra friendly. Bread basket extra with olives and all that jazz. Quality is the highest. From memory the... More

Wow amazing great location on the beach. Really helpful staff. Totally amazing food. Don't be misled the portions don't seem big but very very rich so you soon fill up. This from a big eater! Not cheap but well worth it and has a set menu which sounded tempting. Staff attentive but not always hoovering will certainly be back

I have been to the beachside R&F three times in as many years, visiting from London. My 20-30 kids (age not headcount) and I now agree that this is more a place to go for something like a lobster than for a full-blown fruits de mer (for which, surprisingly, Bibendum Oyster Bar in South Kensington is more pleasing and less... We visited on Saturday night, 4 people. From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic and we really felt at home and very, very welcome, I wish right now I had some names to mention. Unfortunately the food was poor. The starters were razor clams which were tasteless and far too chewy, whitebait overcooked and the chowder which was... More

Wonderful food. I like the open kitchen and the high seating. My starter of scallops with chorizo and chilli were a juicy taste of the sea and not overpowered by the cleverly balanced spice. My whole Dover sole was huge, with side orders of green beans and saute potatoes. Sole was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, complimented with truffle... More

Easily some of the best seafood I have had in the world combined with a lovely service with a relaxed atmosphere. Nice view of the beach and seaside (as it was the beach Riddle and Finn). Fantastic restaurant all round.

We ate here Easter weekend and had a superb meal, unhurried and everyone's food was excellent. Fish pie was especially good, I would thoroughly recommend and plan to go back.
