OK, I'm a regular here and a local, but over the last few years this place has gone through many changes of ownership, with none of them really getting it right. Ben and Chris, the new owners have really nailed it. Excellent beers, good range of wine, bottled beers etc. and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Chris, the chef produces a... More

Wow!! Really good quality tapas at ridiculously low prices, had a lovely meal, great music and £2.90 per tapas, no I'm not related but am a bit drunk on a very nice Rioja. Get here before the chef realises the food is too cheap

You know when you go somewhere and they just give you brown food!! I was so happy with the balance of healthy & delicious I left feeling happy... The passion of the chief left me speechless.

Thanks for your sentiment, and we're glad you picked-up on Chris' passion. We're sometimes accused of being 'over generous' but reviews like this vindicate our decision to provide fresh, hand-prepared food that'll warm the heart. Please come back again! More

If you live or stay in the Hanover district of Brighton then one thing of which you're not short is a choice of pubs. This competition has probably driven up standards all round and The Greys reflects this very well. Both the exterior and interior are smart and the landlord is welcoming, helpful and very affable. We specifically went there... More

Off the Brighton beaten track but well worth a visit. Spent a relaxed Saturday afternoon in The Greys. Very traditional but with the natural quirk of Brighton one would expect! Staff really welcoming, food plentiful and so tasty, not your boring pub fayre as has a touch of the med about it. Want to go back for the new comedy... More

We use this pub regularly and the food has changed over the years. The current chef is a great addition to their long reputation for providing an alternative to standard pub menus. Well loved Indian dishes along with lesser known options make an interesting menu. The service is personal and friendly. Highly recommended.

I've always loved this lovely pub. A real local with a sense of community. And now they have Indian food too! You can eat in every day of the week, but a full takeaway menu is also available. You can order a meal to take home and have a drink while you wait. The food is excellent and much more... More
