Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant...
Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

Lives up to its reputation

Having stayed in Brighton twice recently, we booked this place for each night of our stay and just picked different things from the menu. The food is absolutely terrific.

Whether you are a vegetarian or not - you will love this restaurant. I met my Brighton Cousins for Lunch here and we sat outside in glorious sun (lucky for us). Everything on the menu is amazing, it is so nice to eat a variety of vegetarian delights rather than the unimaginative food served by some of the best restaurants... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. As we arrived we saw a couple poring over the menu outside. 'We're not eating' they said 'we're coming here tonight and just wanted to whet our appetite'. They went on to explain that, although they were not vegetarian themselves, it was their favourite restaurant, ever. We were not disappointed. The menu is... More

Imaginative, unique and colourful veggie menu - other veggie restaurants take note - there is more to vegetarian food than quiche and mushroom risotto. Look and learn

This place is outstanding, blows all pre concieved ideas of cooking and how to use ingredients out of the water. Great atmosphere on a sunny saturady in Brighton, highly reccomend, go here and be amazed.

I wouldn't pay £15 for a pile of beans, said my partner - well, he didn't have to! Really complex and interesting flavours, friendly service and love the salted caramel truffles to take away. Impressive wine and beer list including locally produced bottles. Convert a carnivore or just enjoy it yourself, you won't be disappointed!

I was a veggie for nearly 20 years and this was one of my favourite eating venues for obvious reasons. However, I gave up on my vegetarianism last year but still very much enjoy eating at Terre a Terre. It remains my favourite veggie restaurant in Brighton

I am a great meat lover so certainly not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination , but I loved this restaurant! It totally hit the spot! We ordered the set tapas and wine combo as there was so much on the menu we liked the look of that we just couldn't choose and thought that way we d... More

Thought I would try out a specialist restaurant for a change. The meal was alright and presented well but unless you are a die hard vegetarian this isn't really the place for you. I'm glad I tried out this place but it wasn't really suited to my tastes. The service was excellent.

What can I say, the food is out of this world, really inventive and different so overcome your 'veggie' prejudice and the only problem will be choosing only one dish - so you HAVE to go back!
